Hi that point Lou made that when you go through difficult times you don’t rejoice in the sadness and pain you are going through but you rejoice in the goodness and kindness of God was very helpful x
My wife suddenly left me. It wasn't illness that took her away. So shame and self pity. Unable to mourn. It took a long time to catch on, as a Lay Reader, I would lead the Lord's Prayer. I realised nearly 20 years later, that I had to examine everything that had happened to her, and asked the Lord to forgive her. And then forgive me for the time it took and my part in it. A very inspiring chat. Thank you.
