Temple of the Kings was also errata'd. It's original release allowed the user to activate *any* number of traps from their hand. It was banned almost immediately because of its applications in exodia draw decks (i.e. jar of greed, legacy of yata-garasu, reckless greed, etc.). Like Sinister Serpent, it was only let off the banlist when it received an errata that made it basically unplayable (the once-per-turn clause).

​@deliciousfirstsip No, it wasn't. It actually took a long while to get banned. It was at 3 on the September 2005 banlist. I think it finally got banned on the March 2006 banlist if not, the September 2006 one. And it was called Cathedral of Nobles in the English games before it made it to the TCG.

Hearing the music from the game gave me such a throw back of nostalgia.

If I ever feel like trash after getting smoked in Master Duel, I just load up this ROM, with my save file having beaten the game, and smoke all the main characters.

I am currently enjoying this game a lot, although it gets repetitive quick. My tip would be to build a theme deck instead of the strongest deck possible because then it is to easy. The opponents make some dumb moves and the AI can be predictable in a way that you could abuse here and there. What this game needs the most is a bigger variations in opponents and or their decks and seccondly more boxes where you can sort your cards, as you get a lot of trash cards and the filter is kinda lackluster

Worth noting also that Japanese versions of Worldwide Edition got Egyptian God Cards (Set code GBI-001, GBI-002, GBI-003) in two variants as promos, with a Secret Rare and Ultra Rare version. Interestingly, these God Cards also have English card text, except for the disclaimer about them being illegal to play.

All I need is to unlock bandit kith and I’m done with this game, had no idea after 20 years that I had to duel the rare hunters and it was random when they showed up, how was I supposed to know this as a kid hahaha but oh well it was a great time whopping everyone, when I rebought the game 5 years ago I built a deck and never changed it (got boring at times) but I couldn’t lose, even the pyramid part I slayed all at once, Joey was the only one that gave me a run for my money.. great childhood game and just bought 7trails to glory so looking forward to that

That was my very first Yugioh-game and I really played the shit out of it. The name is kinda ironic though. If I remember it right you just unlock a few new duelists over time but there is not really a story or anything and no way to see any end credits or somehing. So the "destined Duel" doesn't exist at all.

I've entered a sweepstake for this game on Kids WB.. i didn't win. Stupid commercials.

my first yugioh game, really loved it. Though I have to say, is Worldwide Edition really an update to DM6 when all it does is REMOVE cards?

Basically the amount of updating is to remove the fixed starting hand-mechanic some opponents have, reduce the unlock requirement for Mokuba, give Toon World its newer effect, make Passwords slightly better and fix some engrish/weird terms.(And the banlist because lol)

@@gfyGoogle Totally, I still have my game and cards. As soon as I got them, I immediately put them in hard plastic protective card cases lol.

I can confirm you can get a blue eyes out the weekly pack but it is a long shot. I have done several playthrough among 2 different copies of the game and I only ever had it happen once. I wouldn't be surprised if it has the lowest drop of anything with chance in the game.

What I find funny is that for a game that markets itself around being world wide, they did some really shoddy localization work at points. Prime examples being the german dark magician(name left in untranslated english, flavortext contains both a basic translation error and a very obvious grammatical error) and that the japanese effecttext of Toon World is just wrong.(Though to be fair with Stairway, ETS had the opposite issue of them forgetting to update Toon World's effect to match the english cardtext) Also, next video will be very fun conceptually because Power of Chaos is sorta the precursor to the "character based" games such as Tag Force, Duel Links or Rush Duel: Dawn of the battle royale. Because the DM trio legitimately just verbally react to nearly everything you do and their special images for summoning their aces give the same general vibe imo.

Absolutely love the shot at other yugitubers eho tend to make 30 minute videos about nothing.

In this game I think the Ghouls cheat by using Raigeki and stuff.

I remember when this game came out. This place Hobby world Gilroy got the worldwide edition in stock and took the god cards out to sell separately hahaha I bought the game. was fun.

After countless hours of playing this game I created the perfect deck in the end. Never lost with it.

Play the game long enough and you can force the duel comp to play its best cards first. Also this is before each character played differently. During this time every character played the same way no matter the deck. It was so easy to force the computer to play its best cards and then lock the computer out of its best cards. Lol
