Worlds Sharpest Boots - Caulk Logger Build

Ойын-сауық

Want your own custom caulk boots? Check out JK - www.jkboots.com
Caulk/Cork boots are the companions of those who navigate the realms of logging and the unforgiving terrains of forestry. These boots are designed to provide the highest possible traction on slippery logs and ground to keep the wearer locked in place. This style of boot is typically seen paired with a tall shaft and thick leather construction, so many caulk boots require some custom fitment.
The boots shown in the video are black roughout lowers w/ smooth 12" uppers , lineman patches, block heels, paired with caulk spiked outsoles.
While these boots might seem extremely odd to most people outside of the industry, these are the prized tool of old-school loggers for safety and ease on the job.

I’d love to feel the grip these babies provide on a slick, wet, debarked log in the woods. I bet it feels like you have a superpower wearing these in the woods.

Is that the standard height of the heel block for your caulks? I ordered a pair yesterday for work and the fella in the store assured me it would end up being the same height as the super duty heel but that looks way shorter because the rubber outsole is way thinner.

This was a custom heel that was requested by the customer. The standard heel for the Caulk boot is the same height as the Superduty's. Hope this helps!

Is wrenching the cleats down by hand preference? There has got to be a shop in Spokane that could whip you up a hex drive pin spanner to fit that cordless drill. They could probably angle the pins so it cams out over torque, too. Or your drill might have a limiter aft of the chuck. Just a fool here, attempting to be helpful.

I thought the same thing. A torque clutch on a smaller drill could be set lowish to get the right grab. You could just hacksaw the handle off the driver to fit it into a drill chuck (I bet they come free in a box of 1000).

Hi, I'm a Timbersports/logger competitor, I would like to make home made shoes with calks. I would like to have the same T-Nut than you use for the calk. Thats not a standard 1/4-20" because the calk are fine thread. I already have the calk. Can you help me with the T-Nut. Thank you.

Good question, maybe the upper is entirely custom fitted to someone's foot which would mean they don't have a standardised template for the part of the process

Two questions: 1.) Why isn't a 12" standard? It seems easier to cut a boot DOWN than to custom cut UP. 2.) I hear the 700 (V-Bar) sole is no longer available, is this true? (I own corks, but my new job says they are a no-go & I need a steel toe.) I'd order 12" all eyes (same as my corks).

The V bar sole is a dress sole. 12 isn’t a standard because it’s not a very common size to get.
