Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

That would be awesome. Especially if a mower snow thrower and front blade were the available attachments but were only designed for front use somewhat like those ventrac things. Couldnt imagine there would be much room with 4 track units and itd just be cool!

Hey zack I was ten and mowing the back lawn of our house on an old ride on snapper that’s was from the 70’s prob. Anyway I fell off and it ran my leg over and hamburgered it, my stepdad was a urologist and surgeon in my hometown and had another surgeon come in and do the surgery’s on my leg(7) they saved it but I’ve had lots of issues. Please just be careful with onyx on the mower, I know modern Mowers have shut offs when u stand up, but I just thought I’d share my pain as a kind of reminder of the danger. Which I’m sure u understand better than most being a farmer. You are a great dad and I’m sure you’ve taught him very well so he’ll be fine! Thanks for all you do to tell the world how badly we need you!! And how utterly important farmers are to our country! 👊😎🇺🇸🍀

As someone who's had a ringing in their ear since their mid to late teens: Get Onyx some ear defenders if he's gonna be running that machine for any length of time or with any regularity. I'm still just 26, but not defending my ears properly when I was younger is one of my greatest regrets, and I'd give a lot to give my younger self a peek into what the result of it is, so he could learn from it. I also know a kid who's only 17, and already lost an eye to a broken off drill bit. Protection is extremely important, but too often we only realise that after it's too late. (I also know some dads that may or may not have become a dad early than they wanted, so yeah, protection).

I have had ringing in my ears ever since. 24 years s a crew chief, without damage, but all it took was one night without protection, to do permanent damage.

@@ImpendingJoker And I can tell you that it definitely was one of the reasons. I'm not saying my hearing has gone bad, I can still hear fine, but I have a constant ringing in my ears. Mowing the lawn as a kid without any hearing protection was definitely one of the reasons, I distinctly remember having a slight ring in my ear after I was done mowing, but it faded away. I always thought this was normal, until later on. I'm not saying just mowing the lawn caused the issues I'm facing now, I'm simply saying: Prevent it at all costs. It only costs you a few bucks to buy hearing protection, and it can save you from a lifetime of annoyance, or worse. It's worth it, no questions asked.

Good for you dude! Make sure you are very careful! Wear hearing protection (they make ear protection that has Bluetooth speakers in them!!!) And eye protection. Take pride in your work and you will be hiring employees and expanding in no time!

Atta boy! That’s how I made my money in high school and I made a crazy amount just mowing from spring to fall. Usually charged $25-40 a yard depending on size, and built up quite a roster of regular clients after a couple summers! Now straight, weed eat good, and blow off the driveways and sidewalks and you will have people calling you to take care of their lawns.

Hey! If you check out Stanley "Dirt Monkey" Genadek's KZread channel, there is a video there of a guy that started out just like you... Today he has company doing lots of other things and massive machines, and it all grew out of the lawn mower he started with, a simple push mower at that.
