I don't know how i got here but i remember seeing X men arcade machines at various pizza restaurants back in the late 90s. You know, when video games were video games. I miss those times

Even if I'm living in a small Western NY town and nowhere near these arcades, it does warm this aging gamer's heart to see that there are people that respect these old arcade games enough to keep them in good condition.

Whoa. That room is hardcore. That wide screen multi joystick X Men is a thing of legend. Thanks for showing this.

I live here and went to Geeks Mania when it first opened. It was way too loud, only 1 room and too many machines were out of order. Then about 2 months ago my son's friend had a bday party there. I was surprised how drastically the place has improved. Now several rooms with probably 5X the games, including the amazing X-Men! Glad you could come check it out PD7!

This is what makes geeks mania special. I could easily drop $20 in an hour at a coin operated arcade. This is $15 for infinite play.

Great place, awesome tour. I took my son here for the first time a few months ago, he loved it! There's at least 3 more retro arcades in the area too: IO, nerdhaven, and Aftershock. All gems also!

The best!

In the 80s in every average arcade I found that Super Hang-on and Return of the Jedi were the loudest in sounds, but Defender is the loudest of all time when in Demo mode😮

@@chicken636 I'm afraid it was. Oh yes mk's were loud but not constantly loud. To be honest when I think bk, the noisy machines were also The Addams Family pinball and my favourite one (quiz for you) it consist of a GUM ball and narrated by Rod Sterling 😀

Not a lot of deep cuts like Cave shmups but that whole arcade is a labor of love

when I was a kid there used to be a huge ass arcade place that was one of the first card only credity places. They specialized in nothing but huge arcades like that, I'll never forget playing primal rage on a screen that big. The volume was up so high the ground shook when you jumped and hit eachother.

I’d drive 4-6 hours one way to get to visit a place like that!! Thanks so much for the in depth review and tour My home theater set up has a 140” projection screen on one wall but that XMen beats even it!! Very much appreciated PD7!! Keep on keeping it real

Galloping Ghost Arcade in Brookfield, Illinois is the largest arcade but yeah that’s a unique X-Men Arcade portion. It looks wonderful.

I'm blown away by that X-Men room. I was expecting it to just be the original 6-player cab, maybe with some visual upgrades or something, but wow, this made my jaw drop. I'd love to play through that game. Worth checking out the arcade just for that, evem with Galloping Ghost just 20 minutes away from me.

I’ve got an original 4/player Konami X-men in my home arcade collection, but the way they did that 6 player setup is killer! I also love how they’ve got the JAMMA board In acrylic so that you can see it’s the original game. Never knew this arcade existed, but definitely going to make a trek to see it.

By the way, I couldn't help but notice - did they happen to have Spyhunter? I kept looking for it in the background when you panned the camera, but didn't spot it. Thanks for the video.

Now that you mentioned it they didn’t have Spy Hunter. There was so much open space they could easily add another 12 arcades, I’ll have to stop back mid summer :)

The last time I was there at geeks mania the X-Men arcade panel didnt look like that but it was still cool. That machine got played a lot by everyone. 🙂
