@@lukewhiting8083 Isnt that soft ice? Gelato is just the Italian name for good old standard ice-cream in all sorts of flavours. If you Americans think you have to invent new names for every thing like Football thats your thing. As far as i know Planet Coaster is a european game so they will have thought of the standard ice-cream from Italy :)

It's a coincidence, i live in Italy and is the same thing, maybe the taste is different but the meaning is the same.

Gelato is just italian ice cream its made is smaller batches more often with fruit varieties versus candy, and chocolate varieties like american ice creams are made with. Its also made slower meaning the ice cream doesn't fully become frozen making it easier to eat and more creamer.

Gelato IS Italian Ice Cream, but also contains a fair amount of gelatin, giving it its smoother, and silkier texture. don't confuse gelatin with Jell-O, although Jell-o is mostly gelatin.

I really hope they add a dinosaur-themed pack some day.

The difference between Ice Cream and Gelato is that Gelato has a large quantity of milk added to it as well as cream. The storage temperature is not s low as ice cream, which means it is able to hold a wider variety of flavours than traditional ice cream.

There is also a new canopy that a builder can put over any portion of the "People Mover" track.

Gelato is an Italian style ice cream! It’s honestly so good lol. Also, vingt-sept is french for twenty seven, and it’s pronounced vahn set ;)

Johnny, I like the Restaurant feature! It allows my computer to run at a decent FPS compared to when I have food courts and picnic areas. On top of that, the Restaurant have perks that attracts different demographics and supply more than just Hunger and Bathroom Needs. Now I want to make a Restaurant just to prove how good they are....

The restaurant is good from a simulation standpoint, but not a creative standpoint.

I'm fairly new to the Planet Coaster community and havnt experimented much with building my park yet, although I'm trying to recreate the individual Disney parks from around the world, but one thing I would really love to see them create a MINI-DLC of is a pack for building a MIDWAY section for your parks. Would love to have the old-school Boardwalk feel of the old amusement parks (e.g. Coney Island), have some of the old Midway games in my parks.

How do you guys always manage to catch me going to sleep? This is an incredible pack! So much to do now! I know what I'm going to do now. Great vid!

Gelato is ice cream made the Italian way (and is the Italian term for ice cream) which consists of less fat than normal ice cream. It also contains less air and more flavoring which is why it’s a lot creamier, richer, and more dense than regular ice cream. In my opinion, it tastes a LOT better.

Gelato is an Italian style of ice cream what you're thinking of is Italian shaved ice. Italian shaved ice is kind of like a snow cone.

Building and shops- worlds fair animatronics- adventure special effects- studios rides- magnificent+ classical rides

Back in the late 70's and early 80's Geauga Lake Park would give two lap roller coaster rides the last half hour that the park was open as long as there was not a lot of people waiting on the platform.

Gelato is ice cream made with milk and sugar but tends to be the healthier Italian version of ice cream.

Just tell me Planet Coaster 2 is coming with playable framerates for larger parks and scale-able scenery

Well now you can mix it up have a lobby casino arcade....hotel with custom restaurants all in one building with souvenir shops and everything

I went on a holiday once and they had a fries vending machine, it made the best fries (or Chips in the UK) ive ever had. Not come across one since but im always on the look out.

Yeah I was shocked that the Sky Ride for the Cedar Point recreation had to be simulated instead of a real workable ride. Talk about a glaring oversight by the PlanCo coders.

The developers should fix the overly jittery onride experience first...

Didn't they announce code to group items together and simplify the polygons so the count would be reduced? In other words not draw parts that aren't going to be seen in the final rendering?

I built my own custom Strawberry Phillies Blunt shop for RCT2+. It was a modified balloon shop using a scan of a pink blunt box I had with the blunts sticking out the top.

Sugar Emporium would go great in Candy Land, may have to do a slight redesign of the park with the new stuff.

Hey Jonny, Gregors here. I manage a restaurant that sells gelato. Gelato is the italian word for ice cream. Gelato is not as creamy as ice cream. Its made with a lighter buttermilk than ice cream. It has a sharper flavor and is more cohesive. It's also not as rich and savory as ice cream, but has a brighter and generally fruitier taste.

Wow must be a very stressful job!

I desagree on restaurant boxes, when you're (re)creating a huge park with 40 restaurants such as a disney park, you can't do every single interior if you don't want to have 200k pieces. You have to make choices. Those are a good alternative to take away shops we see in every planet coaster parks.

The valkyries are Germanic (probably Bavarian) - they are not nordic in origin - so it is meant to link in with the German/Bavarian theme set

Valkyries are Nordic. (valkyrja coming from old norse). The German word "Walküre" also derives from the norse word (with a small changes: v->w, y->ü, ...). Valkyries are the women that earned their place in valhalla (you know the place where odin casually hangs out to feast). If they are not nordic, what is?

That "people mover" mock would be great throughout an entire park. I remember the original ride from Disneyland, it went through the entire tomorrowland area and a little thru fantasyland. It cut through "world of tomorrow" (star tours), innovations, over Autopia and A Small World. That could be useful like the train or monorail. Frontier should update on coaster skins because bike coaster should opt out on the dueling coaster vibe. You should be able to swap bikes for horses or something accessible for that type of coaster. In Sea World they got a coaster like that but they're water bikes/jet skis. That's what frontier can do for PlanCo coaster skins or customize coaster content or transitional track. Want to know about "transitional tracks" youtube search "The Mummy Ride (lights on)". The track switches.

The people mover was confined to Tomorrowland and never ever went over Small World. The train does however. :)

Thank you everyone for teaching me about Gelato. I do love learning. It is also nice to know that the Gelato ice cream isn't buried in a ton of sugar and has less butter fat, like so much of it that we have in the states. Once again thanks for the helpful responses. I will have to try some Gelato one of these days, maybe a peach flavor since I am from Georgia.

So many great new materials for builders to enjoy making stuff with. What I'm wondering though is how the various foods are supposed to come out of those vending machines? Like noted, the ice cream cup one looks great, but very stupid at the same time with the open topped cups. None of them have proper access hatches on the front for food retrieval. All of these new additions are wonderful, but when are the devs going to stop diddling around and make more varieties of car models to use for the slow vehicle rides? One old jalopy is just dumb IMO. Also, more world ethnic animatronic characters as well, including Native Americans and Aztec/Mayan ones.

I have a counter-argument to the whole thing about the hidden simulation stuff; not everyone can afford the kind of hardware y'all have. I loaded up a very pretty recreation of Six Flags New England today, and had to switch from Medium to Low just get it to run halfway decent. It still kinda ran like ass, but it was passable. I have a decent if aged system that can run stuff pretty well for the most part (usually Med-High, with a _few_ things playable on Ultra); FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz, 24GB RAM, and a 4GB RX 560. Not phenomenal, but decent enough. Still, having something that potentially increases performance _anywhere_ is much appreciated.

@@jimmyhutchison1638 If you build your own buildings, coasters, parks, ect. Then the DLC is a must have. If you play for the campaign then I suppose the DLC doesn't matter much. It's just one of those things that's nice to have when you need it. Plus, their DLC is cheap and features a lot of great things; well worth the money.

I would say that this is slightly lazy, for me, this is the weakest pack. I love all the packs up to this but this is just a bit meh I do think that it has *some* decent stuff but it isn’t that good For me, as a lover of crazy, slightly mad parks, I found all the other packs (spooky, Adventure, Studios and Vintage) were far more imaginative and less mundane, but this pack is slightly rough around the edges, but i am holding out hope for a water park pack still, even after what Beau said on the stream. I love this game but I hope that they come out with something better next time
