Honestly, I'd like to see a Sylas backstory. Demacia sounds like it would be interesting, with it imprisoning mages for having magic, yet people like Lux are just exempted. We could see perspectives of like Sona, an innocent bystander who hates both the anti msgic culture and the rebellion of Sylas, or Garen's crisis on discovering her sister is a mage. Etc, it just feels so large.

This is exactly how I would hope a live action would be done. Practical effects/props and scenes and animation working together seamlessly and 100% dedication and love in every detail. Just feels so right and is a feast for the eyes.

From a marketing perspective this whole event is another work of art. The reach and attentiveness this whole "Arcane" campaign has generated is aboslutely insane. All of that is just topped with another incredible video- and audiographic creation. Really insane.

I really wish we'd gotten more KDA since I'm obsessed with them...but i like the pretty cyber Stuff rather than the "dirty" steampunk stuff..

I remember seeing all the hype for Arcane leading up to this and to be honest I blew it off, not realizing that Arcane would be an absolute MASTERPIECE. Kudos to Riot and all the work they've put into this.

@@demon5965 It's crazy that this opening was made very fast as a second plan due to the pandemic messing up their original project. In the making of video they said that hours before the opening release they were still making it, they were afraid of upload times.

I don't think I've seen a better visualization of Jinx's cracked psyche as when she first saw Vi - at first it looked like she was happy, excited, but then the flashes of color from all sides, confusing and enraging her. She lashes out, trying to make the images go away, becoming confused when she comes back to herself and everything has changed.

@@KristinaN05 not gonna lie, I am a little overwhelmed, haha, but I love the world and the art/graphics style. It’s my first PC game too, so playing using keyboard commands is pretty new to me. I’m just spending a lot of time in the training arena (thankful they have that system) and learning the basics of how the offered champions work. But I try ink I have to make a decision just so I can start learning strategies - items, buffs etc. love it so far. Sure it will change when I have my first game and get completely obliterated🤣

8:38 the look on Jinx’s face is like “I don’t wanna hurt u” which makes me feel like she only runs away from Vi because she feels like she’ll “jinx” something bad to happen to her, not only because she doesn’t trust her. She doesn’t wanna repeat what happened to Vander or Silco to her sister…🥺

I'm gonna say it. This is their best opening ever. EVER. EVER. Including the KDA one when they had the artists performing onstage with the holograms.

I love this opening so much, but for me I think the massive drum core from the first Imagine Dragons opening (along with the insane crowd that day) still beats this but it's hard to compare b/c they're totally different things I will say Riot totally took advantage of knowing they wouldn't have any crowd shots this year to totally step up their game.

When it comes to soundtrack, this game never fails to deliver. The chills man. Thank you Riot and the artists for this amazing gift.

What the..! Look at this! The way they managed to put real people in the world of Arcane so smoothly just makes me think that Riot isn't only capable of making a perfect animated series, but also even a live action movie if they so desired.

I love what they did consider the restrictions they had. At no point did I lose interest, and I loved how original everything felt. I'm just bummed because the two parts which made the previous Finals Openers really stick with me were the crowd reactions to the teams and the trophy. I can't wait to hear that roar again, especially a few years ago in Paris, "Bonjour Paris!" ringing out as the crowd only gets louder

I wasn't expecting such a beautiful performance without a true stadium finals show, but man... This was so epic, they got 3 songs mixed up in the Piltover/Zaun Arcane universe... It's crazy! Also Imagine Dragons and Riot games are a perfect match I'll never forget that show with Warriors and the Elder Dragon on the stage. So epic, this clip gave me goosebumps from the start to end.

goosebumps dude. literal chills. when i imagine the work that the illustrators and animators and the whole crew must've put into this, i get goosebumps.

That transition to the stage at the end is INSANE

It kinda amazes me how much Riot Games has grown over the years. The different logo variants in order: 0:27 League of Legends 0:29 Teamfight Tactics 0:30 Legends of Runeterra 0:31 Valorant 0:32 LoL Wild Rift 0:33 Riot Forge (?) 0:34 Riot x Arcane 0:35 LoL Esports (or just part of RxA)

The animation work here sort of wordlessly encapsulates the tragedy that is Vi and Jinx, having this history between them as kids, they hurt each other badly when they didn’t mean to and now the older is stuck in an endless pursuit to emotionally reach the younger who’s too damaged in a world too unaccomodating to ever truly let herself be reached.

The amount of art and detail is staggering! It's something unique. I am so stunned by Riot. Everything they do, everytime is a standalone unique piece of art. Music, animation, details, editing, directing. These guys are tireless!!

As much I love KDA and the comeback, last year's opening ceremony was a clown fiesta.

Making a set that perfectly bridges the gap between the human actors and the stylized character of Vi without making either feel out of place is a feat in and of itself.

I was mindblown after this video and there are only a few words that can describe it: "thank you mastercard"
