I love the fact that for once, Banner is just as pissed off as Hulk. Normally the stories have them at odds with one another. In this event, both Hulk and Banner feel the same level or rage, and it's aimed at those that they feel caused the pain. Such a amazing story and something I've waited years to see something of this magnitude with Hulk. Just a great story of pain, hatred, and Hulk smash (ing) everything their is.

what makes the hulk so power in this story is, Hulk and Banner are pissed off. So, Banner isn't stopping or holding the Hulk back.

Well you accept alien gladiator planets, FTL drives, powerful reactionless drives on Iron-man, but you can't accept a bomb making a green man who is super powerful? Strange place to draw the line, physics and disbelief was suspended long before this. The story is fun if you just accept it, if not I could go on a long rant alone on why Ironman's armor wouldn't work just for starters.

Can we all stop for a second and recognize that the Hulk was punching asteroids out the path of his ship while travelling to Earth. And it's just treated so casually like yeah that's what he was doing. This is why World War Hulk was soo awesome. The Hulk's a badass!

Marvel need to make this a four part film. Done right it could be the best.

marvel cant. Universal Studios owns the film rights to him. the only reason they were able to use hulk in the avengers movies is they paid universal a huge pile of cash each time they used him.

The whole development of gohans character after the cell saga is so sad... it's just waste... Fun fact: it was intended for gohan to take over the main character role, but fans loved goku so much they had to stick with him. Kinda like wolverine in some way i guess? sure we have x-23 but we all refer to old man logan as THE wolverine. my 2 cents.

I met Greg Pak and talked to him about his Planet Hulk and World War Hulk runs (super awesome guy, btw). We both agreed that the "I wanna hear you scream" line was the most epic facemelting moment, period. Later, I felt that moment was tragically undercut when they revealed that it was a Skrull, not Black Bolt.

I recall a Silver Surfer story where the Surfer was beaten by a Skrull imposter, the Skrulls would plant power devices to augment their superpowered fakers, and the fake SS was close to multiple devices (I think), which gave the fake one the edge on a particular spot, I can see the same trick being used for fake BB to make him equivalent to the real one.

I need a 12-letter word for "Marvel Heroes fucked up big time"...

+Trevor Cormier iirc, they ask Strange to do that, and he refuses. He basically says, '... Hulk was their problem, and they failed once by trying to dump him on someone else, he won't do the same thing again, by sending Hulk to some other Dimension, where he can kill whatever lives there, and eventually break free somehow.... '. Paraphrasing. Basically, Strange says Hulk is their problem to deal with.

NEVER! I mean seriously, Cho is the exact opposite of what the Hulk should be, an unstoppable force of destruction. His character isn't as compelling as Banner's either.

Hanan Awan I have been a die hard fan of Hulk since the late 70s. I absolutely hate this Cho version of the Hulk. Their isn't the Jekyll and Hyde, or Frankenstein's monster thing that made Hulk amazing. When Hulk comes back I home he smashes the gamma out of Cho

I like Chulk. The current iteration of the Hulk is very reminiscent of Prof.Hulk. Reading his Hulk stories you can see that he's losing control of the Hulk more and more, I mean, they've been teasing that since the start of Totally Awesome Hulk. Read the Champion, look at how he's acting.

Hulk. One of my childhood relatable favorites at that time. And the only character that brought me back into comics in 06. Thanks for this series Rob!

My God this week will be amazing on this channel.

Rob, awesome video. The reason why there is such a discrepancy in the power of Black Bolt's scream is that is not Black Bolt it's a Skrull imposter. With that said world breaker hulk would have still one but it would've been a much better fight.

This is by far my favorite comic book story. Worldbreaker Hulk is much more dangerous than he may seem. This is because the average intelligence pure Hulk personality and the Bruce Banner personality are in full agreement, and are working together in harmony. Also, he's continually as angry as he's ever been, but the Shadow Priest taught him how to make his anger cold and controlled.

mcinnisj100 1. Spawn 2. Hulk 3. Spider-man/Batman 4. Wolverine Spawn was betrayed by the people he trusted and his friend took his wife. While Hulk, Bruce, and Peter had parental problems. Hulk didn't just lose his mom. He was also abused by his dad and witnessed his mom being abused and, eventually, killed by the man who he called father. Bruce and Peter are in the same number for obvious reasons. And Wolvie is just last cause I don't know much about his origins. So I can't really say for him.

Both, sweaty, bloody and battered, heads touching and they just have a chuckle. That's how you end it because they've come to the conclusion it's an immovable object/unstoppable force issue leading them to run out of juice, and to them it's that feeling of "it ends like this..... just nothing, no real winner"

Rob, about the silver surfer being being kept prisoner. Did Galactus know the surfer was being kept prisoner thus he was on his was to save him and likely consume the planet? Or did he not know, realize one day "where the hell is my herald?" and then use the power cosmic to find him and then realize he needs to go get him? Lastly, was galactus already on his way since he shows up anywhere the surfer does?

During the planet hulk event it was mentioned both decided to act in tandem I.e banners intelligence and hulks strength but I don't remember anything being explicitly mentioned in this book

Later on it is confirmed that Banner is just as angry as Hulk about what happened. In the past, Banner is always fighting against the Hulk (inside his own mind) to keep him reigned in. This time, Banner is cheering the Hulk on so it's an added boost to Hulk.

we all always knew Hulk was the strongest there was, he was Marvel's Superman. But this story did away with him be "potentially unstoppable" and made him actually unstoppable. We always knew it was possible based on him lifting 150 billion tons in Secret Wars and here he puts that power to use... on people's faces!
