The first ever World Steelpan Day was celebrated in Trinidad and Tobago on August 11 2023. The day was officially declared by the United Nations on July 24. Therefore, from now on every year August 11 will be recognised as World Steelpan Day all over the world. The day not only represents "a celebration of music but also as a tribute to the resilient spirit of cultural diversity and sustainable development."
