for fitting purposes do you have large carbon fiber or steel toe options and can share sizing you use? wide feet people want toes to have freedom and comfort too. Also my fav process sewing in quality heel insert because while the outside matters some it's the inside that makes or breaks quality and comfort for me

Well, I didn't like the one where the sole got colored, I think it looked better natural, but just and opinion.
Slowing it down, showing in real time, was awesome! It really showed the level of craftsmanship, quality, and care that goes into each boot/shoe that the high speed was not reflecting.

Great to see quality products still being made in America
The whole process is great . The skill of the workers and the precision they have is out of this world!! I ordered my first pair of builder pros 2 weeks ago and Got my email Friday that they are ready to build them which is great . No more over priced but under quality redwings for me ! As a farmer and mechanic I need good boots I'm on my feet 12 to 16 hours a day . Spring is here it's almost planting season here in southern Michigan. I'm hoping that I'll have them broken in before the middle of April when we start working 20 hour days for a month and a half. My father and uncle are going to order theirs soon along with 2 of our employees. Great video keep up the good work!
I love being able to buy quality USA made, USA sourced goods that can last a lifetime. Recently received a pair of falcons for my everyday boots so I don't wear through my hotshots when I'm not working. Easiest money I've spent. Hardest part was choosing the leather option!!

My favorite parts are lasting and constructing the the sole on to the upper. Honestly the whole process is phenomenal 💪. I can’t wait till I receive my custom made 1964 falcon, my 3rd pair from nicks. @@twenisix they are actually a little loose around the ankle. I find that I have to tie the shoe twice sometimes, wear for a little bit, when it gets loose, tighten them up, and then they are generally good to go.

Does the leather shank mold to your foot and provide arch support in the lower heel shoe/boot also?
What kind of glue do you use for the leather insole / sock protector around 25 min in?

I have a wide foot and a skinny heel. I bought a pair of slip on eccos in leather and got a blister in 10 mins. Can you build me a boot with soft leather on the inside around the heel and around the lip at the top of the boot for my comfort?

Love Nick's boots, but the shoes have fitting issues, esp. in the heel area. I have purchased two pair, both of which have far, far too much space around the heel. Be sure to discuss this before purchasing a pair. Hopefully the new Aldert Strider is a near shoe without the heel issues.

I wonder this every time I watch show making videos- is there a strike plate in the bottom of the last that clinches over the nails hammered through the sole?

@@nicksboots I've re-heeled boots with a cobbler's anvil, but never worked with shoemaker's lasts. Maybe one day I will have the chance to make a pair of shoes!

That's the heel cap we usually pair with the mini lug sole, unless the customers wants something different
