Cats and their irreplaceable curiosity. Add a big dose of problem solving and you have a tuxedo cat. I've have one of this variety for 13 years now. Needless to say, my fridge and nearly all the cupboards he can reach are now lockable. And stil he surprises me every day with his shenanigans.

As a cat owner this isn't really shocking to me. The little fur balls are highly intelligent. They also each have their own personalities and form strong family bonds to their chosen person(s). This guy learned he could move the drawer out by going behind it at some point. Remembered that and also remembered the tuna being there. I'm assuming you also get after him for being on the counter/inside the drawers? Could explain why he kept looking out.

We gave up trying to keep the cat off of some tables. After catching him through the window on those tables when we were coming home. No use trying to control a cat with silly rules.

I was once in the home of a woman who had 24 cats. I was there to replace a stove burner or maybe the switch. Opening any kitchen cupboard, you would find cats inside! I don't know where her dishes were.

When the drawer first opened I half expected the cat to pop out of it.

I thought this cat would aim for the Cheetos. 😅 What a smart little guy!

It seems to instinctively know it's being watched.

I once had a cat who pulled the drawer out underneath the water bed that was filled with heavy clothing on a carpeted floor and he was able to borrow into the clothing after opening it and get over to the inside underneath the water bed and take naps

I have a tuxedo cat as well they are incredibly smart.

I had a kitten like this. She figured out how to open her cat carrier, and it became a game between us to see if I could come up with a puzzle that she couldn't solve. I think the only one that she couldn't open was because the spring was too strong for her to pull, and boy did she pitch a fit! 😂 "IT'S NOT FAIR! I FIGURED IT OUT! THIS IS CHEATING!"

When my (tuxedo-ish) black cat was still alive, I used to teach her to communicate all sorts of things. My roommate always stated that "it was impossible", but I could list a MYRIAD of things she knew how to "say" (or to indicate). She also knew how to sneak snacks, but there was rarely any need; I fed her pretty heartily even though she was an athleticat. 😁 Still R.I.P. Linky. ❤️😺❤️
