World's Simplest Electric Train 【世界一簡単な構造の電車】
【Structure and How to make】 ※日本語での説明は欄の下
It's possible to get such power using a dry battery, neodymium magnets (super strong magnets which plated with metal) and a bare copper wire.
A point is that a magnet's diameter is bigger than a dry cell battery's diameter.
And an electric current flows to a coil through a neodymium magnets, and a coil will be an electromagnet only in an area between the magnet and the magnet.
The electromagnet and a neodymium magnet poles repel each other at one side.
The other side poles pull against each other.
They work same direction, and it become a big force.
The phenomenon also continues at a movement destination.
※Another important point is magnets direction

Is that how others people’s science fairs work? For me all the science fairs I’ve seen focused solely on the scientific method. There weren’t any fake volcanoes or thing like that. Though I suppose you could make multiple baking sofa and vinegar volcanoes and have different ratios in each one to see which is the best.

For anyone who thinks this may be a form of "free" energy, it's not. It's powered by the battery, this experiment doesn't work with a battery that's completely dead. He even explains so in the description of the video where he goes over why it works the way it does.

@@henkdemetsenaere1374 yeah but I interpret "do the same with real train" as request to do basically same thing but a bit bigger. Trains have a lot of requirements not seen fulfilled in this video. They have to travel big distance on a battery, or solve energy transmission to the train. But this battery traveled like 1000m tops if you imagine it to be train car sized. This battery also probably shakes a lot and probably damages the track while moving. Probably also is harmful to any humans inside, yeah.

After many years of seeing this I finally learned the reason behind why this works. The coil of wire has a left handed rotation, which is important. The batery contacts the magnets, which then contacts the copper wire, creating a current in the coil of wire in the left handed "screw" direction. This creates a magnetic field (essentially a solenoid), with north pointing away from the batery's positive side (in the second clip, the positive side was pointing away from the entrance to the track). Thus, if the magnets are alligned with the direction of the magnetic field in the coil, it will propel the batery forward. This can continue for as long as the battery has (potential) energy, since it is using that energy to create the current in the coil of wire, with some (likely most) being turned into the magnetic field that pushes the battery, and some being turned into heat on the copper wire. So you need energy from the battery to move the battery, which is lost in that movement, so no free energy is being created.

@@madwhitehare3635 You mean why electricity doesn't exit through the holes in the wire? It's because the components in the "train" (a battery, the copper cable, and the magnets) are metals, which have a lower resistance value than the air around them, so the electricity, naturally, decides to go through the metal instead of the air.

Hi! I can explain! What you're witnessing is called the "Motor Effect", in which a moving electrical field can produce motion. When the battery is placed inside the coil, the magnets around it interact with the battery to induce an EMF inside the coil. Due to Lenz' law, this induced EMF generates a magnetic field which is opposing the magnetic field from the magnets, this causing them to repel, hence why the battery moves. This may not be 100% accurate as I haven't thought about the motor effect in a few months but this is the general idea behind it, I do recommend looking up more about it and comparing it to my explanation to see how accurate I was. I hope this helped!
