Ruhi Cenet here. I'm the guest of the world's shortest person, Jyoti Amge. She lives in Nagpur, India. She's only 62.8 cm tall. Also, she has the world's smallest hands and feet.
Jyoti, whose body size has remained almost unchanged from age 3 to age 28, has a genetic disorder called "primordial dwarfism".
Doctors say she inherited a mutant gene from her parents. Even her teeth are big for her face. Her thin voice and tiny body compel her to live a different life in Nagpur, India from everyone else.
Also, don't forget to watch the world's tallest man (Sultan Kosen) documentary!

To be sincerely honest in my humble opinion without being sentimental of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view and without hiding any thoughts in my mind and without lies, to the actual truth with my clear open mind and clean heart, expressing whatever is embedded inside me for a long time which I didn’t say just because I was nervous. But today, by gathering all the courage and motivation, I just want to say that I actually feel and think that I have absolutely nothing to say.

Very true. Is anyone here familiar with Batman antagonists? I have a very specific reason for asking this.
I know this is probably a bad thing to say in some people's eyes but she does actually have an adorable appearance and personality. Despite having a tiny body and all the stigma and difficulties that come with it, she still retains her positivity and warmth. Makes me feel like never complaining or letting my insignificant problems affect me. Someone like her faces much harder challenges and still manages to be happy and optimistic.

Ain't that the truth! I understand . . you'd want to be seen as a fellow human being with dreams and relatability. Not just an oddity to adore and cast fake affection onto. This is exactly what the character "Baby Doll/Mary Louise Dahl" had to go through.
She must be so fed up of people experimenting asking her “to try this on” or “see how big this looks on you” I feel bad that people tend to forget that she’s a grown woman and deserves the respect and privacy as a regular sized person

Lol, 'grown accustomed' is the wrong wording here. That makes it sound like she was, at some time, a 'normal' height and then suddenly shrunk overnight. She's been this way her whole life, so she didn't have to get accustomed to it, its just the way it is for her. Arguably, one thing she may sometimes have to get accustomed to, is the way she's treated by people. That can be rough emotionally when you're so different. I’m so happy that regardless of her height, she’s been so influential and well known to people in the entire world. I’ve seen a lot about her. Being born smaller than everyone else has made her known to literally the entire world, something that none of us will ever acquire. Being smaller has its definite benefits, having a bed that is literally the size of an entire room would be amazing, and I’m glad she’s able to enjoy and take advantage of those type of things. I’ll never say she’s lucky or fortunate, because she has a far shorter life expectancy than us, but I hope she’s able to find happiness and peace in the influence she brought to the world ❤

From a medical standpoint, it's actually interesting how, despite her incredibly small stature and therefore relatively small brain size, she appears to be at the level of a fully developed woman with the capacity to even get her masters degree. I say this because I've seen so many nature videos that speculate on the intelligence of mammals - living or extinct - because of their cranial size.
@inlovewithi

It's all about brain size relative to body size. It's sometime that I've interested in for decades, seeing the different size of people. 7 foot tall people, and how it doesn't seem to affect intelligence, even if their brains are technically bigger. As well as bigger animals, such as a T-Rex.
@popermen694
8 ай бұрын
It’s brain to body size. That’s what matters. The reason for it is because the bigger you are, the more information going into the brain ( like touch or heat sensors in your skin) and this takes up bandwidth for the brain. So the smaller your body the more available brain power for other things. But then of course your brain is smaller. So it evens out.

She seems lovely. It felt really infantilising when he kept on picking her up and when he asked her questions about whether she had her own bank account, etc. She is not a child, she is just very short! I’d be so frustrated with treatment like that. It’s amazing she has such a bright spirit given the circumstances. 💜
So sweet. I watched a special on her a while ago and was hopeful that she would continue to live and do well. It's special and sweet to see her now still doing well and enjoying life. It's inspiring because very few people have the challenges she has and yet she is still participating in education, going out, enjoying life - even has achieved a masters degree and she has such a cheerful disposition through it all. So kind and pure of heart.

Tbh I feel a bit uncomfortable with the way she is being measured and given props this whole video. We can see she is small, and she even tells her weight and height so why do you have to take out a measuring tape like she is lying. The interesting part is hearing what she has to say about her life and the challenges she faces. Doing all of the other stuff makes it feel more exploitative. I know she is smiling and friendly the whole time but that doesn't necessarily mean its ok.

What's the point of spending most of this interview, focusing on measuring her and commenting on how small everything is. She's harassed enough, speak to her like a human, rather than a subject.
I’m glad people respect her, that she has a loving family and is living her dreams as an actress. I wish her nothing but prosperity and protection throughout her life!!
