A tugboat or tug is a marine vessel that manoeuvres other vessels by pushing or pulling them, with direct contact or a tow line.

I don't care what these super-duty tug supply boats are classified to do . . . these behemoth work boats are welcome in my ocean waters anytime for any reason each having tremendous abilities for any given task thrown at them.

A small correction. Boskalis' is based in Papendrecht The Netherlands and not in the UK

All the ships seen in this video are off shore supply vessels, yes they can be used as tugs, but that is not their primary job or role.

@@ruudvanveen7226 Not a pure tug, tug boats do not have rear cargo decks, and cranes, anchor handling equipment, it is a long haul tug for maneuvering floating oil rigs.

LOL, I've worked on some of these vessels. Indeed these are offshore vessels en I saw just one with a towing installation. Mostly used for offshore projects or as offshore supply vessel. Nice images but poor info.

What a bullshit movie, Normand Maximus is a OSCV, Offshore Support Construction Vessel, she has no towing capacity

So many mistakes in the list, disappointing :-(

I agree this video is wrong. These are support ships, seen a lot in the North Sea.
