Having been a visitor to the Philippines all I will say on the matter is people who haven't been are missing out on a gem. Roll on November when I'm back again! Genuinely the most friendliest and honest people I have met. On the subject though, I've been to North EDSA and Mall of Asia. Both decent places. Mabuhay po :)

south china mall is virtually empty while SM NORTH EDSA as well as SM MEGAMALL have undergone expansion already, i think after those improvements they gone to a higher rank already, in fact SM NORTH EDSA has surpassed the size of SM MALL OF ASIA as the largest mall in the Philippines and SM MEGAMALL has added 30 to 40% of its original size after the expansion..

Barjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur IS freakin huge!!! It was crazy walking thru it and seein the roller coaster was just nuts!!

I am from Edmonton. Our mall is undergoing renovation as it's old and rusty now. If they ever want to retake the crown for biggest malll than they now have to up in floors and instead of outward.

my family is from the philippens and i was born her in america and i went there and i went to al lthe mall the biggest is the first one and mall of asia wich is so huge i wanna go back there again it was awsome you should vist my countrey and check out the malls if you do hope you like it =)

Funny thing about the two SM malls (Megamall and North EDSA) is that they're even on the same street (EDSA) and not 50KM away from each other. And the Mall of Asia, whilst not on EDSA, is pretty close to it also. LOL!

It clearly says 'As of January 2009'. Currently it is indeed the largest shopping mall, but back then it wasn't. The South China mall that was largest in 2009 is closed now.

@210482fmj It wasnt always like that. Early malls were designed to be like town squares. They were often anchored by the local department store and had lots of more practical services like banks, grocery stores, post offices and hosted such events as formal dress balls, school proms, ect... Their design was alot more modest and classy too. No giant glass domes or blank white halls. The 80's are when malls started going down hill

Dubai mall is by far the sickest mall i have ever been too.. i spent an entire day there but still couldnt go to every single place in the mall.

dude it looks so easy to get lost in any one or those' but i can even get lost in Hilo, Hawaii's microscopic mall(if you blink when you drive by you'll miss it!) so it shouldn't be hard for me
