World’s Grumpiest Cat | Frozen Planet II | BBC Earth
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
Dinnertime is a gamble for Pallas’s cats, and this one’s hangry. Relative to their body size, they have the shortest legs of any cat, which makes attacking prey in a timely fashion somewhat tricky…
Meet the animals inhabiting our fragile frozen worlds. This is life on thin ice. ❄️

This six-part series - narrated by Sir David Attenborough - explores the wildlife found in the world’s coldest regions: the Arctic and Antarctic, high mountains, frozen deserts, snowbound forests, and ice-cold oceans. From polar bears to penguins, and from snow monkeys to Siberian tigers, each species must overcome a unique set of challenges to endure its extreme environment.

@EvaValenti (ember-snow) It’s in a different video about this beautiful animal. A group of researchers is holding his little body up with his stomach showing & the narrator says “the body is round.” They also describe how his “little legs” aren’t meant for running long distances. It all seems very humorous. Particularly the music they add too to that specific video. Just look up “the body is round.” You’ll find it. But watch the full clip (maybe a minute & a half) as it’s even better than just that one part.

@@a.evelyn5498 In theory if I could get a Pallas kitten I would consider it for 2 reasons 1 there's plenty of PA trees and squirrels in this area and way more than enough reasons that the Pallas would still hunt even at kitten age if a briefly had one. Once adult have to let out with basket, blanket to remember me by, big pound of meat, and chew toy with boat load of catnip done.

@@hpoonis2010 Well, one could of course argue that you're either visible or you aren't, end of story. But if expressions like "barely visible" exist, then I think "super visible" can be justified too. A brown cat moving across a green field with grass and flowers is visible. A brown cat moving across a bare white plain is much more visible, and it makes a practical difference.

These scenes are probably unrelated. When the cat is staring, he's not staring at the shown preys, which are far far away, in entirely different territories. But unless they do that' they wouldn't have a story.
