WORLD'S FASTEST NERF Blaster - The NERF M134 Minigun

Ойын-сауық

Keep track of the MOAB Development: linktr.ee/gatlingtommy
Join me at JARED'S EPIC BLASTER BATTLE (Use code WALCOM to save 25%!): www.universe.com/embed2/event...
The NERF Minigun has always been a legend, and there has been a few attempts... but the MOAB by GatlingTommy is by far the most realistic, best NERF Minigun there has ever been. Featuring a 500+ Dart Back Pack Belt Fed system, the MOAB does everything you expect an epic Minigun to do: delink chains, fire darts through properly timed barrels, and fling foam ridiculously fast. Thomas spent 2 Years developing this blaster, I broke it several times during testing, but when I finally got it working flawlessly? There is nothing else like it on the planet.

Fun Fact: The most complicated part of a real M134 is the de-linking mechanism. Aside from that component the rest of the gun is similar to a gatling gun from 200 years ago. Bonus Fun Fact: The name minigun comes from the fact that the M134 is a scaled down version of a 20mm Vulcan Rotary Cannon.

It would potentially make reloading a heap easier too. Just make a hatch on the belt that exposes the ends of 4-5 cases, load them, then crank the chain and repeat 99-124 times until loaded links come back around. A lockout on the firing mechanism would allow the blaster to crank the chain suitably with a single click of the trigger, so open hatch, load, click, repeat would seriously reduce reloading time. Another option would be to enable the blaster to ammo count backwards whilst reloading (as opposed to a count reset when fully loaded) so you know how many projectiles are loaded at any given time

For the backpack I would also use plexiglas for the sides and just print (Or get some alumium profiles from the hardware store) the corners and edges to hold the plexiglas.

At 3000 RPM, the MOAB is definitely within the range of fire rate for the actual M134 Minigun. The M134 Minigun has a rate of fire between 2000 and 6000 RPM. I have to say, just listening to the MOAB, it also sounds like the M134 too just with lower volume. I'd say you need to do a demolition demonstration video with different targets at a range. You might want to dedicate a day to printing out and loading around 3000 to 6000 more linker shells with and just put them all in a large cardboard box to the side of the shooter. Might also be a neat idea to put together some sort of mounting tripod for it so you can just walk up to it and take turns firing it.

@@nos9784 as far as I know, there’s no variation of the Gatling gun, mechanical or electric, that is able to “spin up” like in video games. The spinning both cycles and fires the weapon so meaning it’ll start firing as soon as it starts spinning. An easier way to look at it might be that the trigger doesn’t actually fire anything so much as simply spinning the barrel. The action of the barrels spinning is what fires the weapon. I’m not very good at explaining things so it might make more sense to watch a video of how mini guns fire

@@user-zs8eo3tx9o where did this notion of "miniguns don't need to spin up" come from? I'm geniunely curious. I'd love to see a single video that states that as a fact (falsely). I don't know if I can link youtube urls here, but you can easily search it up. In youtube, search "minigun slow motion". See if there's a single minigun / vulcan cannon(20mm/30mm) that shoots instantly. All of them have a brief spinup time(~0.25 sec). The fact that a huge amount of people correct the "false notion" of the minigun needing a spinup time saying that the real one fires instantly has been bugging me a lot. I'd like to know where the origin of that statement comes from.

This reminds me so much of the MADOX-01 from Metal Skin Panic. Its main weapon is a minigun, and the sleekness of this product reminds me of the robot's style. For the updated version of the blaster, imagine if he made the weapon assembly so it covered the whole hand. The handle and trigger are inside the covering, the barrel is under the arm, ammo counter display is at the top of the forearm, and selector controls are on the outside of the assembly for the opposite hand to operate. I'm imagining an optional bag attachment you can add to the shell ejection port to catch all the pieces, like he said, and it shouldn't be that much of an inconvenience. All that plastic laid out on the table still looks manageable. Maybe what the guy needs to design next is a crank-operated machine that helps to speed up the process of loading and linking the chain. That would be truly next level.
