Haha true!, just like the Tyco/Tonka XRC Ricochet (if anyone remembers this legend, along with the Tyco Fast Traxx and Typhoon). These were what 90's kids (like myself) were bashing with before we entered the glorious world of hobby-grade RC's.

The wheels are probably big enough to allow the RC truck to be very buoyant and could possibly float on water

The way that thing bounced around made it look like a real monster truck!

Looks the nuts with the big wheels, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone launched a big foot version of one of their trucks once they see this video! Would need to over engineer the crap out of the chassis, drivetrain and suspension to handle it though!. I’d buy one anyway lol

You don’t realize how big those wheels are until it’s on a rc that we’re familiar with in our personal life. Goodness those are massive. Also, I love how everything kev does is worlds best 😂

I wanna see it geared down because the big tires lower the center of mass and probably add a good deal of cushioning on landing

@@doubleutubefan5 definitely not better, the only reason rc trucks can survive massive jumps is because they are designed to bottom out. The shocks arent built to withstand taking all that mass to a complete stop from 20ft in the air.

A double motor setup with all metal gears in the diffs and 2 sets of shocks might handle it. Getting going would be tough on it but once it's going it should be reliable

Hey kev, I have a tip for ya. If you take some silicone spray and put it on the axles and gears, it will be a lot, I mean A LOT smoother and will make it drive to a faster rpm. You’re welcome. ;)

I've seen the XMaxx and Raminator compared in size before, but it never hit me just how much bigger it was till 0:43

Definetly want to see it geared down... Handles more like a true MT with those tires... I'm sure theirs a million haters saying that's gonna break the diffs..... The xmaxx is the strongest coolest RC ever made rtr..... Arrma fan boys arma rtr don't compare without like a $1000s in mods on the 5th scale outcast...

You definitely want metal gearing, with those monster tires, and the best servo's you can find. A bigger spur gear, and smaller pinion, would be ideal LOL.

That was absolutely Epic! If you could find a way to not only make it so the XMaxx can handle those larger tires but somehow lower the truck so the tires stand out above the roof, that would be amazing. Then you could drive right side up or upside down. Lol

I think it would be awesome if you had a designated xmaxx for the huge wheels. You could get spare ramanator wheels for a xmaxx and modify the xmaxx to be able to handle the huge wheels, ie stronger servo, and lift the body shell so the wheels don’t rub along with other various fixes you might run into

Still crazy just how much the xmaxx can take. I’ve only ripped apart tires so far

I've been running my xmaxx with a medium dense foam block under the rear end,sat against the bumper bars.the rear still flexes a little but the body has been staying on great,even off of skate ramps😁 and it was free cos it came in a parcel as packing lol

This clip is epic, for fringe tires going on to the regular basher and it still runs ok. Even better that neat little edit in the middle, with Greta Gruntberg offering another unwanted rowdy tantrum.
