World's Biggest Buddha - Construction Site Exploration in Thailand Jungle
I take you on a walk around exploring the construction site of the new biggest Buddha in the world 2021. The site was virtually abandoned, allowing me to see this enormous statue from the outside as well as from the inside through a small hidden entrance. The size and scale of this Buddha is mind blowing!
When completed this reclining Buddha will be 209 meters long...that's more than double the size of the 2nd biggest Buddha in Thailand (at Wat Muang)! To put it into perspective the famous reclining Buddha at Wat Pho in Bangkok is 46 meters long.
This is the world's biggest man-made Buddha statue. Although it's worth mentioning that there's a reclining Buddha image in Jiangxi (China) that is longer, although it is a shallow surface carving on a natural rock formation and so isn't 100% man-made.

Thanks 🙏 I'm looking forward to seeing the completed version too...although we may need to wait another few years by the looks of it!
That is fantastic. I love things like this. Undoubtedly it will look a lot more impressive when it's finished, but having the place to yourself is such a good feeling. I'd actually rather see it part finished by myself than complete but with a thousand other people.

@@silentseekerYT yeah, most unexpected. I've wandered close to building sights or abandoned buildings here in Bangkok and been immediately told to stop filming, let alone been invited in for a look see.

Yeah in Bangkok, but different rules when you get out into the sticks 😁 That said, security guards in Bangkok are sometimes open to financial persuasion!

Not abandoned. They just appear to be waiting for more funding/donations to continue the construction.
