Want to find your very own quartz crystals? Visit our public quartz dig at Fisher Mountain! Just purchase mining permits at 11 Logan Gap Road, Mount Ida, Arkansas 71957 - the cost is $25 each for adults, $20 each for seniors, $10 each for children 7-15 and children under 7 are free. Currently our hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday (weather permitting), but soon we'll be open seven days a week!

The best mining experience my wife and I have ever had. Ever. Jesse was the best tour guide. We found WELLLLL over the 1k low end requirement. Trust me, we got our 1k worth about 4 times over. We have some magnificent pieces. Thanks Avant. We will be back. Next time though, we would love to find a piece that is too big to carry. :)

I cry sometimes watching this stuff...a mix of happy, awe and jealousy lol
Whoa! I wanted to get there last year but no go with Covid. I am gonna give it another try this year. I really want to find a nice big crystal, even though I already have a nice one from this mine that I bought at a rock show from the people at the Avant mine. Very few people knew about the Avant/Zigras mines back then.

Our public dig at Fisher Mountain run from Thursday to Sunday every week (for the foreseeable future) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and cost $25 each for adults, $20 each for seniors, children 7-15 are $10 and children 7 and under are free. You can come to 11 Logan Gap Road, Mt. Ida, AR 71957 to buy the mining permits. We also have $250 pocket digs, where one of our employees assists you in digging a vein of crystals at the Ocus Stanley Claim on Fisher Mountain, and high end pocket digs at Hamilton Hill (in areas such as the blue phantom zone) which start at $1000.
