Oh my God, i am so impressed with this model, wtf ........ This is the best advertising for this model. It took so many hard beatings and still is drivable. We need more rc cars like this and from other brands, also i like that has lights front and rear.

i've never seen max run a rc car this long without killing it. I'M Impressed

I bought the original one based on your review, I don't drive them like you do and it took six months before I broke an arm on it. I ordered the RPM arms at the same time and have only replaced the front ones, I have stripped the main gear out and the replacement was $6.00. Looks like I'm going to have this one for a long time based on this review!

I’m interested in that too. Arrmas 3s platform is super solid, I think the only problem is when you gear up and really bash on it the composite gears take a beating.

The drivetrain is definitely tougher in the associated. When you really start sending the Arrma 3s cars you start stripping gears and popping out driveshafts

@@based_will My problem with Arrma 3s lines is popping out shock rods. Shock rod ends are not threaded and after bashing Big Rock a little bit they start coming off and you have to super glue them from that point on. Pretty annoying. Other than that and steering servo, Big Rock has been very solid for me.

Hopefully my MT10 will arrive this 5/09/2023 and did order the bottom A arms front and rear from RPM to arrive at the same time. I do not drive like you do, but when it holds up this well I just had to have one. Thanks. I am 78 and it might even out last me.

3:23 Kev looks like the Monster Truck simulator has taught you some tricks. 😂I like the color of the new body. My MT 10 is what I let my friends and kids drive when I'm out bashing around. I have had 3 people get one as their first RC after trying mine. It's a little beast.

I bought one of these and have 0 regrets. Fantastic little machine.

@@beljonovyes, they are: hobbywing ESC is waterproof itself, the receiver is in the box, so it should be waterproof. Motor is surely waterproof The only one thing that I’m not sure about is the servo, but looking at other reviews - it stayed well in the wet🎉 Hopefully i will soon order myself one of these, and by the way it would be my first rc from a big brand 😀

@@drxy08 no, it can’t handle 4s but it can handle 3s If you want to run it on 4s you can buy a hobbywing max 10 sct (120a) which is able to run on 4s

That little Rival honestly deserves a full rebuild and a place on the shelfs for taking that abuse like an absolute champ

The new racing buggies are tough as nails, I piped my B6.4D into a metal girder at 30 mph off a jump and it drove away without bending the chassis

Kev's videos are probably the best advertisement for companies that make great rc products, and the biggest upset to cars that are fragile and low quality.

Just bought this car for my stepson and it’s unbelievable, although I have very little RC experience to go from. Glad it’s as tough as what you say - was a bit worried with all the bashing it took earlier this week, but was nothing like you guys through at it, so feeling much more reassured 👍🏻

After all the vids I’ve seen on this thing I’m so impressed one upgrade and it’s almost indestructible I don’t think anyone abuses their rc as much as max does and for it to take that much from max wow that’s crazy what a greatly designed truck! Thanks for the vids kev !

That’s amazing what that thing took! I think it’s a combo of good design and very light weight that keeps it together, just not enough weight to really hurt itself. Very cool 👍

@@microbuilder That is exactly why. The MT8 is much heavier. If you use a lower capacity lighter battery and RPM arms and hubs it really can start to take a beating. But you have already spent half the truck on upgrades. Hopefully, Team Associated will realize that scaling a vehicle up never works for durability and do a complete redesign to make it stronger. We need more 1/8 scale bashers that are plastic with cheap replacement parts. I do hope they make a v2 MT8 just as strong as the MT10.

Kevin I am amazed how far you come! Been here since 20k subscribers even won a giveaway on jlb cheetah. Keep up the hard work. You are the GOAT of rc cars mate.

I don't know why this man has haters, he gives honest reviews, and gives what ever it is absolute hell. He isn't just destroying a car, he is basically showing was the worst that could happen, how to fix it, while still have fun with his toy.

I bought the Rival MT10 as a result of your videos, I can attest to the fact it is indestructible after I put on the RPM upgrades, the original parts smashed up on my first run... now it'll put up with almost anything... Thanks Kevin!!!

that thing is a beast! I had expected the servo horn or the stearing servo it self to break atleast once, with it being exposed on the bottom, but nope. just kept trucking. very impressive little machine!

Wow. I remember when my old jet hopper turbo would break wishbones at about 1mph hitting anything at all. This thing is solid as a rock.

Great video Kevin. The MT-10 is a very tough truck for sure. So far I did break one front Arm but it took quite a few high speed direct hits into curbs to cause the failure. 🤜

Team associated sales of this car are gonna be HUGE after this. Thing is actually insane.

If it survives Kev, Stemp and Max driving it it'll survive the apocalypse too.

Even the body shell looks to be incredibly durable.

That was brutal. Pretty amazed by the ruggedness of that car.

Hi Kev, you are the KING OF RC and kick some serious ass! Kyosho is having their 60 year anniversary come up in October this year 2023! Please help them keep their NITRO RC torch alive by doing what you do best!! I love Kyosho and started out with a Kyosho BURNS DX .21 buggy as a teenager over 30 years ago! Im now back into the Hobby and currently own 4 Nitos (Kyosho INFERNO GT2, Kyosho FW06 Chassis kit *now back in stock, HOBAO Hyper VT Nitro, HPI WR8 NITRO) and 5 Electrics (Axial SCX6, Axial RYFT, AARMA Felony, Traxxas UDR, Traxxas TRX4 K10 High Trail) all in which I love. I just built an iron clad Axial Ryft because of you, which is indestructible lol. Not a stock part on it. Please give Kyosho some love on your channel, they need you Kev! They have so much potential! Oh and I'm also getting the Kyosho USA 1 NITRO because of you as well! thanks for everything that you do for the RC Industry and for us RC fans!!

I got my first RC car recently, after wanting one for 34 years. Watching you break these cars breaks my heart as here in ZAF they are so expensive because of exchange rates. I got the WL 12429, love it dying for my next one

I feel like Team Associated, when they were designing this car, they were watching Kev's videos & they were like... "We're making a car what survives _that!"_

I have a helion avenge mt10 which is the same as the first gen just from helion for those who don’t know. I have had a big problem with it. The front gearbox is very very weak and breaks all the dang time and then it grinds the gears. Everything else is amazing, I hav broken the front control arms a few times but that’s from running it around 35 miles and hour straight into a curb and launching it off a hill about 40 feet and last but not least slamming it into a lamp post

These trucks are absolutely unreal… I think they are, the toughest Rc brasher truck. Period They use to be like $330… Arrma’s 3s line isn’t as tough, but pretty good… This thing is king! 👍🤘👏

I managed to break the front end off on my first outing with it, it was a cold day though. Ive since reinforced it with an upper chassis brace, melted steel mesh into the diff housing where it snapped and also put screws through the chassis into alloy bell crank. Haven't broken it since

The MT10 is an awesome car ! I have one myself. I had a go at bashing at FamJam last year and I did break one of the standard lower suspension arms which I will agree is a weak spot on the car. I’d recommend one to anybody ! Even though today I was playing with it at work and the pinion has come loose ! 😂😂😂

To survive Stempy, Kev, and Max as well as it did is a glowing recommendation for the V1. If the V2 is half as durable I'm sold

I love Team Associated! I still run my 15 year old RC18T! Love it!

It looks similar to the Redcat MT-10, I hope it's easier to work on than the Redcat. I stripped a 9T pinion and had to darn near dismantle the entire top part to change it out. The thing is an uncontrollable wheelie monster with the 9T pinion, so I decided to upgrade to a 13T pinion. After all that, the gear was too tall for the motor, so the speed controller shuts down to protect from overheating 😯😁😒😤! All that work, and now I have to go back and put the 9T pinion back in 😢! P.S. It was STILL a wheelie monster with the 13T pinion for the 6 minutes it ran before the safety kicked in 😂! TONS of torque, I mean tons! Great vid Kev! Fun fact, I know ppl watch you worldwide, but I'm 6 hours behind you, so when I wake up, you're having lunch 😂! Love your videos, bro! And I'm messaging you as I'm watching, so I have a question. Do you really think someone will bash that body after you have autographed it? I know I wouldn't! So many concrete landings, I'd defy any rc to take all that. The fact that the chassis gave up before the suspension arms would suggest good design on associated's part. I wonder if you shoe goo and drywall tape the chassis would perhaps make it an ultimate weapon!

I've watched this video at least 7 times now and I've just bought the MT10 for myself. It's so amazing, I love it. And now I'm gonna watch it again just to see how You're replacing the arms because I just broke the stock ones 😂

The build of these is soooo so similar to the Traxxas 1/10 4x4 platform. How dors this compare to the rustler/stampede 4x4?

Outstanding Truck. If it only took half the amount of abuse it would still be a winner. To be honest, I was hoping you'd repair the old one and raffle that one off. Call it sentimentality, call it me atributing sentience to things that don't have it.....but the old one is a champion.

After seeing the abuse you and max gave the mt10 i have made my mind up and want the V2. Brought 5 tickets so hopefully I'll win. If not I'll still be going out and buying 1. Awesome video Kev. Honestly I never miss a video. Keep up the awesome work.

Might help in the future... If you get a rc stuck way up a tree and you can't climb keep a chimney sweep rod set in Andy they are fibreglass rods the you can screw together and make as long as you want light weight and stiff Worth a try... That's how I get the kids toys out of my tree's in the yard

OMG! That thing is a tank!! Got a theory though.. I think if you went out and didn't want to break it it would have... going out, beating it down with wreckless abandon it just shrugged it off. Epic little RC everyone that bashes should have. Everytime I go out and hope I don't break something I always do...If I go out to kill an RC it comes home in one piece.... hmmmm

Just a year ago, "Stemp-proof" was what RC cars should strive for. Now cars NEED to be "Max-proof" just to qualify as something "durable" Unbelievable that thing managed to take the abuse. (Despite the cheating)

I knew it was tough but damn that's insane!
