This isn't a new strat, Freck has been doing this for a while now. If he gets rein first, he does all three symbols, if he gets nukes, he just guesses the footlight symbol, which does save a little bit of time. He does this because without rein, he wont have enough points to get all the symbols, so he would need to reset otherwise, so he gets more runs this way. He answered a bunch of questions on his video in the comments. Y'all should go check it out

its an ongoing joke because steve comes out of nowhere always on soe with new strats and shatters the record however this map seems to not have that many new strats left anymore its already at 20:00 lmao so its unprobable it'll be broken for a while since this run had near perfect luck and perfect optimization of the best known strats right now@@willadams706

this is cool but too me a full speed run includes upraging/pack a punching every gun and item including wonder weapons and sword and doing the easter egg
