Watching people speedrun Resident Evil games is something else especially with all the skips in OG RE4 and speed build ups and sequence breaking. I can pull off some speedrun strats but never to degree of skill that these people do it and I give them major props, watching this is definitely going to make me beat RE4make faster on NG+

@NoahJ456 30:04 I agree to an extent. I believe cross-console is perfectly fine, but console and pc is a whole different headache. I have rarely seen the option to play in lobbies of only xbox and playstation because it's usually all platforms or only yours.

The wild thing about Distortion2 is he'll do these world record runs on a new game for like 2 months and then never touch them again meanwhile the other runners only play the 1 game while he's already onto the next. He could load up elden ring tomorrow and get the world record if he wanted to.

Because all the dude does is speed run… video games are insanely easy. Once you expand your repertoire it’s not hard to switch up games. Idk why people think gaming is some super god skill lmao

the record is actually hour 53 minutes now from spicee I think with the new infinite ammo glitch, probably going down even more with larry skip

This maybe late but most people prefer to run at pro because it makes the enemies less rng in behavior pattern, HP and aggression. RE4 original and Remake both have dynamic difficulty it means game becomes more or less difficult based on how well you are playing. If you take too much dmg it changes it to easier while if you are breezing through it makes the game harder regardless of what you choose during the start of your playthrough. So playing pro locks it at highest so it removes the rng aspect because of enemy behavior. Because of this ammo Routing and Money routing also becomes consistent

That barrel he hits in the minecart ride that's way above actually hits the chainsaw guy so it does help out to get rid of him

Yeah if you shoot the barrel you do a lot of damage to the chainsaw cart

I think people dont realize how much goes into playing on keyboard and how much each aspect can affect your aim. Your shoulders need to sit a certain way and angled a certian way, The way you sit, The height of your desk, height of your chair, etc. Your setup and posture play a big role. Another part is a i think people start with bad habits without realizing it so progression is slowed or plateaued.

I know this comment probably wont get traction but at about an hour 50ish in the speedrun when dist is in the room with all the body bags, you dont have to fight the enemies like you did in your normal run. You can sneak past the bags and open the door normally and then run past them to get to the door. So speedrun glitch or not you dont have to fight the regen enemies

My personal best was 1:50:23 but since update I found a new skip that could push my run to 1:47:00 if I’m lucky.

Cross play is nice when you have friends on pc or other consoles. Also you don't have to play on console for games that don't need aiming. Like you said for Sekiro. Just play with a controller on PC.

crossplay isnt the issue. its skill based matchmaking. they came in around the same time and i feel people mistake the two for each others issues

In terms of RE4 Remake Spicee is the undisputed GOAT in terms of World Record and the most consistent.

I know games like R6 - using your Arm to aim vs your thumbs is definitely an advantage. I was Top in the game using a normal controller and Id even argue people using an ELITE controller was unfair because they got extra buttons like a PC had - to make keybinds to where your thumbs never came off the movement/aim sticks UNLIKE me. 85%+ of Rainbows top ranked players were using PC on Xbox called Zims - which is straight cheating but its just a tiny keyboard. This just proves the argument in the debate PC vs Controller.
