World Position | 5-Minute Materials [UE4]

Hey Prismaticrew! In today's episode of 5-Minute Materials we're looking at the World Position Node! This node returns the absolute world position as a 3vector inside the material. It's extremely useful for "projecting" textures so that textures tile perfectly across multiple objects, creating macro-variations on tiling textures, creating smooth colour gradients on objects and much, much more. This is one of the fundamentals of shader design in unreal engine and is the most valuable tool to have in your gamedev belt.
