For the people who don't know why the Shinano is there ,it's because it was originally supposed to be a Yamato - Class Battleship ,but the the Japanese Navy needed more carriers then, converted her into one.

If the imperial navy had a fleet like that, It would be almost impossible for them to lose Leyte gulf or any ww2 sea battle

1:36 Unfortunately for the Imperial Japanese Navy, there would never be a chance that the 3 sisters would ever be together all at once since Musashi was sunk in October of 1944 during the Battle of Leyte Gulf and Shinano would only be commissioned in November of 1944 (but sunk 10 days later). But still, great video.

That's where I disagree, look what happened to Musashi during the hectic battle of the Sibuyan sea, she was part of Kurita's center Force but she was sunk thanks to a maelstrom of planes with bombs and torpedoes, and then during Operation Ten-go Yamato has her own flotilla of escorts with her and the Yanks are able to get the same result out of it, the Yamato's only has a good chance against it's contemporary warships if its engaged in a surface battle (for example a battle between the Yamato's and the technologically superior Iowa class ofc also considering real world physics such as the condition of the sea and the experience and training it's crew has etc.)

@@metaknight115 the Yamato does have 200-ish AA But consider most of it suck (their flak dont have proximity fuse) with the rest just cant reach max potential because of design flaws I would say she wont win it in anyway

the ending brings tears to my eyes ;(

I notice that IJN Yamato, IJN Musashi, IJN Shinano, MITHC Yamato and Shikishima are the only Yamato's that are powered by Steam, The rest of the other Yamatos don't even have smoke or steam coming out of their funnels as most of them are Advance and Highly Modernized.

Another touch too is that IJN Musashi dont have her AA mounts on the side like IJN Yamato because she didnt have those before she fall
