I am one of those players. I have not played very much for a long time, and now that i have come back and started playing it more consistently, i have found that a lot of the players have this game to an art form. I am playing with crayons and coloring books. I definitely need this. thanks Flambass keep up the good work. I appreciate it.

Thank you to the player that submitted this. Takes balls to put yourself forward for criticism on the internet 😉 Mino takes some practice to juggle positioning, when/where to smoke and time hydro to be of most use. When she gets caught out you usually get punished hard too so very small margin of error. Three main basics I noticed was smoke pops before cutting speed. Even with smoke screen expert Mino takes so long to come to a halt, it's usually going to be a "Peppa Smoke" if you're not already slowing when you pop smoke. Secondly is Mino is a gun boat. There were shots on for Salem but the player was messing with the torps for a lot of time. Take a glance with torps and get back to guns every now n then and launch if there's a sniff of possible hits but I wouldn't treat it like a DD and spend much time aiming them. Lastly, look around more. Handy tip I picked up from Flambass which works great for Mino is Free look while firing. Aim your guns and start taking shots. While still firing press and hold right mouse button. You can look around but your guns stay on target unless the target changes course or speed. Release the button and you'll zoom right back to your point of aim so you can correct your aim. Given how long Mino can spend peppering a target this is really useful to keep an eye out for something juicier to shoot at eg. More broadsiding target, pesky DD recently spotted etc.

8:30 Maybe worth mentioning that when you have Hydro consumable available and you are stationary in smoke, it is advisable that you use the hydro consumable. Especially when there are 2 DD's (recently) spotted on your side of the map.

Digging this. I like it when you provide input / advice. Helping the player base be better players is awesome.

Hey Flambass, great series. I love the idea and I think it is going to be very helpful. One thing I'd like to see more of is comments on when the player does something particularly right in addition to when they do something particularly wrong. I find that recognizing when I have done something right gives me a platform to jump off from and allows me to divert attention to things I need to work on. Otherwise, I love the series. Keep up the good work. Oh, and thanks for telling the shit talkers to go f themselves. I laughed out loud! You're a hero man!!

I'm also quite an aggressive player. I've found though that I can usually get away with that style as long as I'm being aggressive near islands so that if things really go south, I can run a short distance and hide/repair/heal. It's my aggressive games in open water that usually trip me up.

I Play mino alot one of my favs and highest stat ships and only issue i seen besides the holding fire instead of full salvo is he wasnt running his smoke well you dont wanna smoke and sit you wanna make your smoke long so you can move back and forth so they can hit you as easy....Mino is one of those ships super underrated i can do max damage while being engaged in the directives.. DD killing is high priority for me in mino and eliminating the smol's just because so many struggle aginst them! but you can chips a BB down at decent pace with out getting any return damage!

The Minotaur is like the Zumwalt of WW2. I would use its stealth to my advantage.

Likely fixation. Charges a no health DD and doesn't fire. Turns away from a smoke already there to panic smoke at full speed when spotted. Judging by the pathing the player took, I'd say tried to get hydro spot on the no health DD and torp the BBs. Just went about it poorly.

He was torping Tirpitz, which he actually succeeded. At the very end I guess he tried to finish off Yugumo, but since his attention was still at the Tirpitz he had his guns totally at the port side. So he'd turned with the entire ship to accelerate training of his guns on the target but probably didn't expect Yugumo to kill him so quickly. Take a note to his forward turret's movement, it's clearly visible.

I thought he dropped the 2nd Smoke for the BB (Soyuz?)

How do you enable replays? I get some games with 2 certain ships that I rlly could use advice with

They are enabled by default now days, you just have to go to the folder of the game and find them. Just keep in mind that you only have last 30 battles saved, they get overwritten all the time, so if you want to keep a game saved you'll need to copy it and save it some place else.

Radar mino is working well in ranking this time. Decent AA, 9.1km good conceal as cruiser and 10km radar. It just like playing a giant DD LOL.

He's a returning player back after a long break I think so not "..coming directly to t10....". You only really find out how much you've forgotten once you put yourself to the test. I do like these videos though. Finding them incredibly useful too.

I love this series and I love that players want to improve, but at the same time I must wonder why players havent learned more when they reach T10?! If all these replays were from T6-7 I would understand, but do you grind an entire line to T10 without learning the basics of that line? I had the same feeling watching the Youyang replay before.

You can get to T10 surprisingly fast. My NA account had Daring unlocked in just over 400 battles. Burned a little free xp on the way but not an absurd amount and didn't have to throw money at it either

@@oldschoolgaming4763 I don't remember what channel it was posted on, but there was a replay of a Yue Yang who rushed a DD with torps and then complained that his torps went through the DD because of a bug. On looking up the guy's stats, he had used FXP to go straight to the Chung Mu, played 2 games in it, then straight to the YY. He never realized that his torps can't hit DDs. All because he'd saved up enough FXP and credits to do it.

@@oldschoolgaming4763 I hear you but WoWs is also a much more complex game than it looks on the surface. If you're honest how many games did you play before you figured out pen angles for each nation/ship class/shell etc, how concealment and spotting actually works, radar/hydro ranges of your opponents, range, speed and concealment of your torps and be able to implement all that and more on the fly in game? I've been playing since CBT and took me a good 1500+ games to get a proper handle on everything. Didn't have the benefit of a Flambass I suppose but still, takes a decent number of games to get it down really and the grind can fly by so quick far more players are getting to T10 without that experience. Will say though, a player in a YY not getting why deep water torps don't work is a bit ridiculous. That's someone free xp'ing the entire line a not even bothering to read anything about what that line is about. No excuse there. I had one of "those" players in a ranked battle few seasons back. Dude lost his rag when he launched point blank at a Shima and Grozo(not me in the video mentioned btw) and missed them both. Wasn't even a rental 😂

Guys stop shittalking these players. They may not be good players for now but that's exactly why Flambass does this. These players want to learn and be better and should be supported with this mindset. Shittalking them over and over again will only block these players from learning and getting better. I guarantee that everyone who shittalks right now was a bad player at the beginning and made similar mistakes. You guys wouldn't want to be talked to like this either so cut it out

I'm not sure to which extent a vid like this is useful for player development when you have literally hundreds of hours between flambass and flamu on YT demonstrating how to play it right. That was, for me, the best way to consistently improve my gameplay over the last year.

Whenever I play RN CLs, I either get 100k damage games or 0 damage games. So this is me, more or less.

Also he was sitting in his Scope he should be using scope to line up the free Look around while shooting to have better map awareness! Also not to be rude to the player or anything but he should play more mid Tier Matchs wasn't just bad playing in mino many of his mistakes were Back to the Basic mistakes

Depends what you are firing at, what angle the target at, and where you are aiming. But mino has a low caliber, and high firing arc so not ideal against a more armoured target.

This is a problem for games like WoWS: players advance up the ranks and gain access to high tier equipment without having to learn how to use it. They call it "seal clubbing" when a high tier player enters a low tier battle, but I would wager the majority of high tier WoWS players would have little to no advantage over low tier players because they never learned to play the game properly. (And I am no exception.)

Video audio seems lower last couple of days? Could/probably just me but never had to turn volume up so much and commercials are so loud need to chg vol.?! The review vids, like this one, are awesome, yes I watch daily. I know. get a life.

Its kinda sad that players get up to T10 and still dont know some basics. I mean, he got all the way up to T10 and still dont know how/where to smoke. And still doent know which targets to prioritize.

to YOU FLAMBI: i know you know how to WoWs. But don‘t show people (and a lot of them are new nowadays) a gameplay where you stop and wait until YOU know where to go and what is happening on the map. A lot of people (in my opinion don‘t watch the map anyway) watching you: oh, on this map he waits a couple of mins, then he decided to go there. Other streamers as well. You know how to read the map. A LOT don‘t. This problem leads to: i‘m staying here. Really. I see that every day in WoWs and see you and Flamu etc. doing exactly that. But YOU know where and when to react, the „average“ player stays there until death. Simple solution: i know streaming does not allow you to tell all things that comes to your mind, but tell sometimes in a battle: I‘m doing that because of this happens. I know thousands of comments and things happen, but at this moment you can teach players and especially new players who watch your stream why you doing that specific move. Improves your teaching and their knowledge. Just my 2 cents buddy.

For people shittalking the guy. The answers to all your moanings are in the descrition you had to scroll past to put in your whining. So pls use the brains you are blaming the guy for not having to refrain from posting useless comments

Sadly, these videos are bringing out the "paper unicums" with little more to offer than variations on "lol, noob." I'd respectfully ask, as a newer player myself, you consider not posting unless you're offering something useful. Even if that's being critical of Flambino's advice, as long as you're explaining your reasoning. I know I can't stop any of it and I know i'm setting myself up for being trolled but have a care. Each and every one of you sucked at some point. It's called being new to the game. Getting up to speed takes longer for some of us than it does others but ALL of us had to "get up to speed" once upon a time. Drowning in s**tlords will kill this game just as surely as WG's spreadsheets if we're not careful. Just a thought.

That these players play tier 10... is in my opinion wg fault.. if you buy 1 premium its very easy to free xp an entire line... i think that not only an xp limit to a ship but also a commander level requirement should be introduced.. so if you want to play t10 you have to have for example a 17 point commander with x amount of battles at tier 9. Before you can advance to tier 10

Why is he playing tier 10? He needs to go back to tier 6 and learn the game first. Stay off the tier 10!

thats BS. and you know it. in T6 you get stomped nowadays or you do not much dmg because your team stomps the enemy. you learn more watching flambi than in a T6 match.

Branislav Simovic i‘ve not said that. but watch the ACTUAL T6. If you get a T6 only game, luck to you. If not, you get stomped or be part of a stomping. you learn nothing from a stomp, WIN or LOSS is irrelevant in this situation. Unicums like Flambi etc. learn from Clan/DIV with good players. not from T6 solo (at least nowadays). Back in 2013/2014 blah, everyone was a beginner, now you have a DIV of 3 „good“ players wiping out the enemy. Because the MM don‘t care if you are new or have 12k games. Get into a DIV with good or above players! they teach you how to do, and you will do average from the first hour. Try to „learn“ solo and you will be T10 before you know the difference of HE and AP. That is not a point of tier or progress until you get T7. and at T8 you have prems everyone can buy. So what is your decision? Getting T10 as soon as you can because you will never be bottom tier or getting stomped in 5-6 mins! And WG is forcing that with „free“ T10s and a MM who doesnt care a shit about played matches. I‘ve had ranked matches yesterday, before that day, etc. where matches end 7:0,0:7! HOW? ok, lots of people send in chat „i‘m drunk“ but, wtf?! a average player can be drunk and not doing 0 DMG in it‘s BB, at least in my opinion. Thats maybe the reason why 0% alcohol is in driving nowadays. Idiots getting more and more. a good driver is not (and was not) killing others by driving home with alcohol. an idiot will kill itself and others while using his key to open the car.

Serious Freak Dude, don’t take it to literally... I just meant he needs to play the game tier for tier and learn the ships and tactics. Learn situational awareness. Not go full on t10 and play that. He played like a newby in a tier 10, which I see often.

I understand your effort Flambass, seriously i do, but the only advice possible at this level of incompetence is "DO NOT PLAY TIER10. BACK TO LOWER TIERS". Much lower i would suggest, like 6-7 at most. Remember: this is a T10 match, how is it possible to arrive in such poor conditions at the max tier it's the certified failure of this game.

Player of this this skill level should not be in T10.... They are basically sealclubbed in T10 nowdays...

To be honest, this game has a lot to do with the intelligence of the player. If a player isn't intelligent enough his capacity for improvement is limited, and some of the things this mino were doing highly questionable. Just look at the potatos with +10k games.

God, this was hard to watch. Please don't put this guy on my team in ranked...
