I got the app, but you didn't tell much about all the mods. You simply just scrolled through all of them

Usually the mods explain things well in their descriptions on the right panels, however with the gun sights you do need further detail explanation on how to use them. The good thing about the ModStation mods is that other WoWS players have videos going into further details for those mods, such as iChase on the gunsights. You have to search for those videos on KZread.

I did this originally in using Balabolka TTS. I have since then using Google TTS for my videos. IMO Google it is way better. I really don't have a good microphone to use in explaining this matter fully in my voice.

I have tried downloading the mod station but no client appears for me to select. Any idea on how to fix this?

First any problems with modstation should be posted in: forum.worldofwarships.com/topic/155270-all-modstation/ .Second the ModStation should install with an executable file called WorldOfWarships.ModStation.Setup.exe similar to WoWS software. BTW, I have never seen the ModStation software not ask for a region. Once the software with administrator permissions is installed, you have three tabs at the top. the first one is select game client. If you see nothing there should be an option for opening a new game client setting. Click on the plus sign to choose the directory where you have WoWS installed. The default directory is C:\Games\World_of_Warships. Then you will have a download bar at the bottom for showing the status in installing the modstation. In the lower right of the window you will have and install button. Click on that button to install the mods. Once completed a play button will be shown once everything that has been installed. At the worst you can uninstall and reinstall ModStation again. It is important to install the software as an administrator privilege. Good luck in getting this solved.

Thank you for your help! I actually did originally post in the forum but no one answered me. Your instructions about how to add it with the + sign when no client was available was what I needed. Thank you!

hey so i got it installed the mod satation but it tells me to select a gane client what is that and where can i select it please help

Ok, choose a region, such as NA, CIS, or SE servers. The ModStation will then install the appropriate software based on your server regional location. Then you go and pick the mods you want.

How does "compressed textures" work ? Does it affect in-game battle textures to improve fps or just textures in port ??

I don't use steam myself. However it was noted from the WoWS thread for the 9/5/2018 ModStation Version 1.3.0.0 and later will be supporting WoWS game Steam client. You can now install modifications for WoWs Steam client. Give it a try and let us know how things turned out.

can i use mods on the public test server?

Nope, won't work. PT server is a version ahead of live servers. And the ModStation is only updated when a patch goes live. So the mod station will never work with the PT server version. Also, PT server changes frequently, so mods could be obsolete in a matter of hours. That's why mods are only made for current live patches, and not for testing patches. So short answer is no, mods cannot be run on PT server client.

There is a link for this in the news today on NA. It doesn't say "beta" on it anymore, but why isn't it just a part of the game in an update? Why does a free to play game have a free modpack? There is already a settings menu. Is that not where these adjustments should be made? Do these mods effect performance of the game on some machines and if so, why not give some guidelines or examples?

The original threads for the ModStation were from 4/3/2018 & 9/13/2018. The latest version of Mod Station is Version 1.6.1.0. So one can say its not beta as you pointed out. Can you post it again please? With ModStation, WG is doing lots of testing. Most Mods are independent of WG. Some items have been adopted and featured into the game. Why does a free to play game have a free modpack? Its about testing new ideas mostly. You think all programmers are in St. Petersburg? There is already a settings menu. Is that not where these adjustments should be made? Eventually. Not everyone likes the modes. To each to their own tastes. My video is basically about awareness of the ModStation. What you do with it is up to you. Do these mods affect performance of the game on some machines and if so, why not give some guidelines or examples? Render texture mods helps on weak PC systems. Some has game components such as visual aides in sights, some in match clock, spotted gunnery, and smoke dispersal timers. You can even change the ports a little to you tastes. My advice is to check out the mod options and test them. You can always roll back what you don't like by unchecking the Mod option in the ModStation.

With ModStation things are in flux. Mods change with each update. Some are added and some are dropped. What was the 50% option that you are looking for?

@@liquidhydration 09:03 that value listed in the video is no longer there in the current ModStation version. At the most you can compress is 12%.now. There is no other setting.

Two Questions: Is it legal ? And will you never use the normal Client again?

According to WG Yes this is legal. These mods help players in their game play. There are no aiming mods or anything that will delete terrain for spotting for unfair game play. Most is these mods are informational, port related or for under power client systems. You can always install or de-install the mods easily. Most of what the Modstation players have used has been by trial and error in what they like for a mod. And always you have to update your ModStation when WoWS gets updated. It does not hurt to try the ModStation. To answer question two, yes sometimes I roll back with no ModStation because of a bug issue with WoWS.

Don't use text to speech, instead just use your own voice, thick accent and all. We'll respect that more, and understand that it'll take a bit to get better if English is your second language.
