I was a daily player for 5 years (I did miss a day or two here and there), three weeks ago I realized that I wasn't really having fun anymore so I stopped playing. I thought that I may jump on once in a while but so far I don't miss it. Maybe someday I'll play again or maybe I won't.

There's precious little fun in the game apart from the operations. The rest is 90% gargabe. True, CV's have been in the game since the start, but those were the RTS CV's until January 2019. No subs, obviously, because the game mechanics do not allow the subs to fit in. This game was good from about 2015 till early 2019, and has been going downhill ever since with more and more predatory monetizing in the shape of time gated events and loot boxing everything including the layered tokens and currencies.

You know, Mike, my story is much the same as yours. I had actually been playing since closed beta way back in 2015, and by 2019 I was quite tired of the game tbh. I had gotten into CVs - the old RTS ones - and had become quite good at them. Once the pandemic started and the rework hit us I pretty much left the game. By 2020/2021 I was, when playing the game, mostly sticking to ranked (which I still found fun in) and doing dockyard and a few missions. By 2022, though... Even those felt tiring and not fun at all. I had, by 2022, been taking long hiatuses from the game, ranging from a few weeks to months on end. The last I played this game for any significant amount of time were December 2022, for the Schröder dockyard, and this year, 2023, for the Jäger campaign. Long ago did I realise I don't really miss the game anymore. Sure, it was fun to hop on ranked and play a handful of matches, but that was it.

@@sg_dan I really enjoyed it for quite a while but near the end it felt more like a job, something I had to do to get the next thing, the ship, the flag, whatever. The last week I played just to complete things I had already started and it was pure drudgery, once I was done with those tasks I was done with the game. Still don't miss it.

In the time it took me to grind to tier 8 for 3 nations (main BB lines) without premium time, I'd unlocked 1 tier 4 riverboat in War Thunder with premium and 6 300% boosters exclusively using premium naval/aircraft....entire coastal/bluewater fleet for germany took a little over 700 hours. The grinds really don't compare.

@@zander8752 The models are so beautiful and much more detailed compared to wows though. This is the only reason I keep wt installed - so I can look up high quality 3d models when making miniatures or creating vehicles in builder games

Funnily enough I liked it a lot more when it was just small crafts - it felt a lot like playing wows, with fast tactical movement, hiding behind cover and actualy seeing your shells and the damage they dealt. But teh comunity was crying for teh battleships and now wt navy is more like a rail shooter with ships rather than a naval sim.

The way sealord talking in this video it feels like he only plays and understands NA servers… having both NA and EU accounts the two play totally different

A friend of mine just started playing. His opinion of the game at t4 is, hes addicted and is having tons of fun. Not sure how he is going to feel when he gets up to t7/8 and up however.

202 hmm that’s a error code I’ve not seen in a long time

They REALLY need to do something about submarines. trying to engage in a surface battle and all of a sudden be pinged and have homing torps zipping towards you can be a little challenging. Burning a Damage Con isn't the most beneficial use of a damage con. Especially when you need it for floods or multiple fires. DDs trying to hunt subs without HYDRO (read sonar) also is more than challenging, unless the sub player screws up being at periscope depth or has to surface.

I still play this game. First came into the game December 2020. Sometimes I get bored, sometimes I play a lot. What gets me going are the collabs, which I look forward to.

The defining feature of my experience with this game was making it to t5, suddenly getting full lobbies instead of mostly bots, getting ass blasted from three planets away by BBsas soon as you aren't uselessly hiding behind an island, and realising that I was either going to stick to torp DDs and be the guy everybody is desperate to kill ASAP or do what the people who cry all day about every other class do and main BBs which I don't find as fun most of the time. The game suffers the standard niche-game-syndrome, any game that has a high skill ceiling will take you time to learn, but a game with a massive low skill player pool and SBMM (LoL, Tekken7 for some reason) will be much easier than trying to get into a game that only like twenty people still play, nineteen of which, while maybe not world class, are absolutely cracked beyond believe compared to you. The behaviour the bot-filled matches in t1-t4 wil reinforce in you (pretty sure they use easy bots) like brawling out in the open on a cruiser in horrible situations because the AI can't hit a barn with a baseball bat let alone you, will force you to start learning how to _actually_ play when you start playing against players. The coop feature, meanwhile, is an absolute joke. It doesn't have the DotA2 problem of literally never finding a game, no, there's plenty of people playing it, and it's exactly what you need if you want to get into a fast af ship, full speed up to the bots and torp them from 2km away, but since that's what the coop players do to end the match in 4 minutes, it's use as a learning tool is laughably nonexistent. What really killed it for me though was the ultimate design-by-leucotomy feature: "this ship is out at sea, you can't use it until the battle is over so it can return to the harbour from the bottom of the goddman ocean." You're trying your best but since you're still learning you still make all the mistakes that this entails? Well good news because instead of moving on to try again you get to sit in the corner and reflect on your stupid decision for the next 10+ minutes because the BBs are still playing "avoid the half of the map the sub was last seen" until the timer runs out and we're arbitrarily restricting you from requeing with the ship you're trying to play. This just meant I couldn't try anything I wasn't 130% sure of at the risk of not getting to play for three lifetimes. If I had to consciously, deliberately invent a feature to actively reduce accessibility, I don't think I could come up with something more effective than "punish players for being bad, ON TOP OF losing the game and getting almost no rewards." And when they announced they were "working on a feature" to let us requeue with a currently sunk ship, I dejectedly uninstalled because "working on a feature" to let me do something instead of just letting me fucking do it sounded like a nicer way of saying "we're working on a convoluted system to make you pay money for it."

This feature, thankfully, got removed, and now you can just spam next match immediately. No money involved. Other than that, I largely agree. I went up to tier 10 and realized that I just can't do this. I kept absolutely destroyed, and when I started to look for advice on what to do, I was basically told to learn every ship in the game. How fast they can go, how fast they can turn, where the citadel is, do they have radar, and so on... And I'm like, that's 100+ ships at this point. So, I'd have to spend probably 100+ hours to memorize everything, like I'd be prepping for a college test, so that I can start playing the game without being utterly useless. Nah, thanks, I'm good, I'll play something else.

0:55 I’m the third type of player. Never played the game but I’ve watched every single Jingles video (and many of Flambass) so I do have a large amount of valuable knowledge on the various mechanics of the game.

nowadays I only play Operation Scenarions, the PvE mode, I lost all motvation to play randoms when submarines came out, and only play PvP when there's a different, more relaxed mode, like when Airship Escort was a separate gamemode, I wish it had remained this way

I started playing in early 2020. I had heard of the game but didn’t play for years because there were no submarines and I’m a big submarines nerd 😂. Started playing because they were being introduced. Overall I still find this game fun after 3 years even when playing as a surface skimmer.

Well. A few years back I thought it very pretentious to name yourself after the assassinated relative to the Royal family, but I deferred to Monty Python's premise of the "flowery tart" and began to enjoy your content. This is a very good video and sadly (for me) not addressed to one who has been away for a few months, but makes for great guidance as someone who has been playing since beta. Goodonya from Australia

Started playing in 2017, played everyday, stopped in 2021. Im glad I got to experience the golden years of WoWS. Missing is brings be back to the game here and there for a week or so but it hasn't stuck.

And then you get a losing streak where you always end up with a team where half of the player decide to suicide themselves on the other side of the map. It's amazing how often I thought that my team gonna win the game (after capping B and A and outnumbering the red team) and then half of the team sunk in less than a minute (often on C cap) and good luck to fix that if you're a DD player again multiple radar cruiser. I recently uninstalled the game because I didn't enjoy it anymore, the game is now too grindy, those blow out game are way too common,the current HE spamming meta is annoying (and prevent cruiser/BB from pushing), etc... WG need to brind Asymmetric battle or add T9-10 ops.

if you're in a clan and enjoy clan battles definitely. if you're just doing randoms forget it.

I will say as someone who stopped playing the game a while ago, I still keep tabs on updates to the game. I initially stopped due to the CV rework, burnout, Russian bias etc., but I am always keen to hear what the game is doing and if WG has finally fixed some of the longstanding issues. If AA was fixed, along with meaningful ASW then maybe I could be convinced to come back and find out wtf a Supership actually is 🤣🤣

tried it out again recently, ya subs and CVs just play their own game while everyone else just supports them and adds to the clusterfuck of angling against subs, angling against CV and then angling against surface ships only hope you have as a BB player is if the enemy CV and subs are bad players

I played the Delaware in that game, been putting off grinding that line for ages... same as for the CV lines. With the anniversary snowflake event coming up, I guess I need to start grinding those lines for max reward returns. I'm really glad I can grind the CV and Sub lines in Consealed Maneuvers, and not in randoms, hehe! Cheers for the vid, Mountbatten. Keep them coming!

Other than the Airship escort type games, and some Operations, I haven't missed this. Throw in all the expensive premium princesses collecting dust on the docks - the trade-in was a step in the right direction but not the best value (wish I could sell & bank the unused ships for doubloons) - and it's been hard to come back the couple times I've tried this year. War Thunder Naval arcade at 3.0-3.3 has been a blast and fills the gaming need.

I do agree with your evaluation with one caveat, play mid tiers if you're tired of overpowered carriers, subs, and superships. I've been in the game for over eight years and still play. I have changed my playstyle with the times though and now very rarely venture above t8 in randoms, but mostly play t7. Even when uptiered, which feels like most of the time, T7s can still compete if you know what you're doing. I feel sorry for new players - had a double cv and triple sub match today and had a new player div that was not happy lol.

TLDR: Subs aren't nearly as op as people complain. I still don't understand why subs are hated so much: Yes, shotgunning is absolutely a thing- however- you need your torps to actually _hit_ and that isn't as easy as one might think. (For the record, I'm mostly thinking of one battle, where I think the Hawke was hiding with a tall island to his right, and I was on his left.) At 4~km, a *battleship* can dodge by adjusting speed. Let alone the more maneuverable classes. At 2.1-3~km, if you have propulsion mod, you can _still_ dodge. 2km: Oh crap. And here's the kicker: *Hydro* Hydro is a submarine's nightmare: you can either hunt someone else or, switch to homing torps and give yourself away. Assuming you didn't get too close and got detected. Yes, it can be hard to hit a sub with airstrikes, but it's not impossible by any means, and also note that with hydro, if you get in 2km, he's done. He can't hide anymore. And finally on this rant: CVs. If a sub is spotted by a CV and is in range of his airstrike. It's pretty much over. The auto airstrike pretty much has aimbot.

There's a lot of narcissism out there among sub captains. Most players dislike the 'radically' historically inaccurate way subs were implemented into the game. Nothing is going to change that fact.

I really enjoy your videos, I have been playing WOW since 2018...I have seen more and more, money 💰💰💰 items..but I have also had some fantastic Santa Boxes! Not last year...but 2021...it was raining top of the line premium ships! Grinding for ships takes time and patience...but it's worth it...I would suggest trying to build your credits fast I currently have 300,000,000 saving your free XP, is crucial to enjoying the game as well 3,000,000 + budgeting for Dbs! Making Dbs... saving Steel, this has been my favorite thing...a long with competing and learning more and more about the game. It's my favorite PC game...I just think there was a huge drop in certain areas after they left Russia, not getting political...just noticed the increase in trying to make money. But I still really enjoy playing the game.

Thank you for being honest, i stopped when they introduced subs and i was considering trying it out again. You saved me a dissapointment. In case the old times are back pls make a video of it. I will surely reinstall it and try it out, i loved the old game a lot.

Hi Sea Lord, a bit off topic but did you know that the CV 'Saipan B' cannot be traded for another ship?? I have it and it does not display in the list of ships to trade?!

You forgot to mention Rattlehead and Megadeth. for 10,000 doubloons ($40 US) you can buy both commanders, a tier V US Omaha class CL named Rattlehead with some enhancement. In battle the song "Tornado of Souls" will be your sound track.

This would be a good game if not for the fact they stack the teams by 10% w/r and then put the streamers on top . Just to promote their game and make it look fun at . Thats why there almost always a blowout.

Issue for me and the main reason I quit the game multiple times is the last of visual progress ( after T7) and being indecisive about which BB I want to get... I dont make my mind up... week after I loose motivation because I am not sure I will enjoy it

A major problem with all these games is one the table top players solved decades ago. You have map ortable scale, vehicle or fig scale , and weapon scale. You have to scale everything that os with a scale together. So weapon scale is short. For reasons. That means the weapon performance and armor performance mist scale wit theweapon range scale. The more theae games get away from reality the fewer adjustable points they end up with. Case in point WG adjusted the armor sp the same class has the same armor at tier for most ships. Both making the play style the same and removing a point to make adjustments.

It is getting old, but Asymmetrical battles might save it. Enormous FUN.

After getting most of my post deleted and for a ban (being off topic speaking about the topic) off discord I no longer feel motivated to play anymore. Never even had a warning after all these years on the OG forum.

Have you tried Warthunder naval? It really takes a bit to get your head around it…but once there, I am enjoying the crap out of it

It may sound stupid what I'm about to say, but wouldn't it be fun to be able to revisit the old school Wows from let's say 4 years ago? Maybe as a special game mode? With ships that were, skills/equipment/flags and mechanics exactly as they were in one specific patch of the game. Only 4 tech trees, only tier 8 BBs, CCs and DDs. Only accessible if one has played over 5k games in normal modes or earned a certain amount of base XP. And to make the mode worth the while, enable players to grind their commanders to the dead eye skill. Just for nostalgia's sake. Could be fun, or not?

This ^^^. I have been playing about 3 weeks. Have felt the FOMO push, but have come to figure I will play what I play and will get whatever rewards I can get, but don't need to have everything. At this point, I wouldn't even know what to do with a Lushen (sp?)...lol. I've ground out UK BBs and Cruisers to T5-6, started to get US Cruisers to T4-5 and thinking about trying DDs in both, maybe trying subs. Just taking my time and enjoying the ride while I can.

Returning player from 2016. Yeah I hate the Subs from what I remember we had subs back then as well but they were quite dumbed down and weren't worth playing however my bias hates them still and everytime I see one I get blinders on and grit my teeth and go kill them. Having a great time other than that and the Discord channel has been a huge help. thanks to everyone in there and their patience with me.

I started this game about a year and a half ago and it took me a few months to realize that I needed ships T5 and up to knock out daily missions, and all I had at the time was the Omaha and the Dalas. So, to get more T5 ships I did the probably very unwise choice and grind out every factions DD, CL/CA, and BB's to T5 (CV's and subs have taken much longer). A full year later of slowly grinding them I have gotten every ship class to at least T7 and most T8, minus the subs still at T6. The grind is long but by doing all the different ship types from every factions tech tree it always keeps the game feeling fresh and from getting stale.

Buddy I play wows 5 years I have grinded all but Spanish lines , and I have all T5-T10 = T10 - 76 , T8/9 - 108 , T7/6/5 - 166 + T11 - 13 in total 382 ships , I dont write that to brag but to state , that was lost of my time , I have grind T10 to get SC that granted great rewords , but they have rework those , and when 12.8 hit airship escort will be a random battle mode , for me that is just end of that game , so yeah I advise you to dont loose time on all lines , in my opinion there are few worth it : DD - Shima , Haru , Gdansk CA - Jinan , Petro , Des BB - Schlieffie , Yamato , Republique , ... but before you choose with T10 lines you want to grind to T10 , install PTS , there you can use resurcess to unlock lines for free and see if you will like T10 , as I have 76 T10 , and most 432 Battles I have on Republique as that was my first T10 so I grinded free xp on her to get Musashi , but I dont play here , T10 I play most are Shikishima , Ohio, GK , Yoshino , Salem , Colbert , Smolensk , Vampire II , and none of those ships is line ship , I advise to not collect crappy lines you will not play them and WG do what ever they can to nerf economy !

Thank you for the advice and tips! I have ground out to T10 the Montana, and I do have the PTS and I did just as you described with testing loads of ship. I love that it's a cheap and easy to do the really wacky and dumb fun Captain builds that I don't have the resources for on the main game. For now, I have found that the Royal Navy DD's and CA's are where I'm going to focus my next grind. Again, thank you for your guidance.@@smilingpolitely12345

Played for many years. Stopped at commanders update. The subs and broken CV and bad changes really make it hard to re-download

I was hoping I would like it more but idk it feels a bit more arcady than I expected

I play on and off the games is fun, but the aggressive monetisation is annoying. Subs need more work like a ping every 20s to make tracking them a bit easier. But it's still a fairly good game.

So so true... I played since Open Beta, took a 2 years break, playing 1.5 years again now and it goes down the drain constantly.

Can you cover thid upcoming event, like needs to do this and collect total of credit, damage, free EXP and chance to win either mighty mo or hornet? Thanks

I just play the Iowa and Missouri exclusively and don’t pay any attention to any of the politics or getting more ships or economy. Its fun!

For my case who's just started playing this game in 2023,i traded my yoshino for san diego and decided to not to touch random battle again,and i got a lot of fun playing operation only I think the trade was worthy because i spent nothing on getting that yoshino,and it'll a waste if i don't play anymore,and san diego is a fun ship to play

I'm returning - just like you describe. But do the lower tiers work more traditional play? IE - less subs and CVs?

I just started to play it again. I didnt play it for couple of years and alot has changed. But what I really dont get is the hate for submarines. I really enjoy playing with them but also against them. Dont know... its just a thrill you have to keep that in mind, that maybe a sub is watching you. I really enjoy WoWs but the question is: How many people will keep playing that game or is it a dead game?

Missed the mark. Double CVs and Subs are not a factor for new players, its their normal experience. Its the old players that were used to not seeing CVs and when Subs didnt exist that have an issue with those things.

I took 2 yrs off was givin free ships to return few tier 8-10ships But noticed now their gone ??? Why?

I wish they would make a game just like wows but move the time line way back. Like the British tear 10 BB is the Dreadnought,The American teir 10 BB is like the New York .ect Improve the weather make rough seas like a battle in the north sea.A game with The battle of Jutland tec.

Since I am not FTP and it only costs me my time, of varing worth. So it works when I want to play it. But I am out nothing if I don't. But then I just play CoOp so have little ego involved either. If WG wanted more to play subs they would lover the premium sub price, a lot. (coal of course) Just staying in crusiers I could play forever just playing tier V Furitaka. But tiers V to VII are not bad.

Actually, there was a time when people asked about submarines and Wargaming said that they guaranteed; "There will NEVER be submarines in this game." - That it was a surface warship game, blah blah blah, words -- Then they put a submarine in everyone's line up as an "April Fool's joke" and when everyone tried to use it to see what it was about, your game crashed. They didn't mean for it to crash, and the joke didn't go over very well. So, a "Guarantee" from them is completely worthless (their word is as good as used toilet tissue). If they had any common sense and wanted the money and stay popular - all they had to do was introduce the USS New Jersey. That would have been a HUGE $$$$ Maker, but they aren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed and instead of a popular move, they instead reworked CVs and introduced submarines which are STILL being "balanced" and NOTHING realistic about them. 1940's subs with 2020's subs speeds?!?! Air strikes that can only go a short distance from ships. How can a subs ping go further than a radioed in airplane? Again, not the sharpest tools in the shed. These are the people that have radar that goes through mountains and if you question it, the response is that it is not a simulator, yet when they first introduced the game, they bragged about how "realistic" it was. They argue both ends against the middle and wonder why everyone gets upset with them - Now the art department - That's a completely different story - great work and people with brains that actually work.

Been playing this game off and on for 7 years. Player styles have changed. Mostly everyone sits around waiting to kill steal anymore. Very aggravating. Torpedo boats galore. My opinion the torp boats need to be nerfed. There was a time when you had to have skill to use the torp boats but now its just throw out tops as many as you can and see where they hit. I've stopped playing random and ranked and mainly play ops coop and brawls. The ops is even frustrating because of player style now. A lot of the players don't understand that ops was designed for team play not me me me kill steal players that are out there now. Most ops now end in defeat unless you get into a division that plays together. Pick up ops games are really a waste of time. I'd like to see brawling brought out on an all tier level and not just one type of brawl where they make you play 6on6 3on3 and so on. Have categories 1on1 and up so players have the choice of which one they prefer and then the activity in each category will tell you what players prefer. Superships are fun but not practical. 1on1 supership brawls were a lot of fun.

Wows for me is kinda of a mixed bag. Whether or not I play the game really depends on matchmaking is doing.

As a new player, the game is getting frustrating for me at Tier 8. Unfortunately, that's where my current favourite ship is. Saving up coal to get a T10 so I'm not the low tier ship 90% of the time.

Sorry, for me at this moment only coop is worth playing. I know, those are bots but thanks to own dumbness bots are simply going on full in battles charging whatever they can - yeah, turkey shooting but at least without CVs and Subs. Also I'm not interested on fake ships so majority of tech trees is for me only up to T7 or T8.

I would say if you're not that annoyed with the game by tier 7 than maybe it's worth it, because the annoyance just ramps up from there, between radar ships if you play destroyers, matchmaking if you play cruisers and carriers (when one team gets all the AA ships and the other none of them plus uptier), the RNG especially on battleships and dive bombers and submarines that start getting super long range homing torpedoes, if you can survive all that than maybe it's worth playing it or the grind might get to you first if you don't get a premium account.

T10 was supposed to be the end goal but you get punished for playing with all the bullshit and literally losing credits in bad rounds

I go back every once in awhile... and I am reminded of why I left. Beta player former whale. Left 4 years ago. I wouldn't play it. And it's not just the CVS and subs. It's the terrible players, superships, and above all blowout matches

I used to play Legends but stopped. Power creep was pretty real lol.

I think I stopped playing when they added the russians just because other games caught my interest and eventually switch to WT for tanks then planes, tried naval the other day and now I just want to get a good comparison

I like brawling, ranked and whatever game mode that has less ships in it. A pity they limit those modes to certain tiers. Most fun for me is around tier 8 in sub free games. I hate subs and will charge them whenever possible to get rid of them. No fun being harassed by a sub and distract from the rest of the game. Being lower tier in a double uptier game sucks.

Honestly, if I decide to keep going in this game, I'll just dick around at low tiers.

Positives: Warships, Great Sounds, excellent Visuals, some PVE content, Many tiers of Tech Tree ships. Negatives: Grand Monetization (Deliberate Paywalled advancement), Deliberate Withheld advancement, Toxic, often unwelcoming PVP Community (your win loss ratio, if public profile active can be detrimental to new players playing PVP), Many events ongoing at same time often require you to play in certain types of ships to complete (Subs and CV's often a requirement to finish missions, something that the players often dislike, is Subs, and the Fun Police, CV's), Dockyard purchase requirements, have to spend your money to get a semi decent ship. Superships are gimmicky and not all that exciting. Been playing casually for 4 years now, I have spent some real world money on Warhammer 40k items, will still play casually, but the heavy heavy monetization and deliberate nerfs to XP in PVE content make it a really less enjoyable experience.

I remember playing world of warships before the CV rework like 2017 or 2018 idk when was it changed and it was hella fun with the RTS style it was the only reason i installed the game again on 202, literally started less than a week ago and when i got to the CV i found a huge disapointment for the rework and i thought i would just not play it anymore and then i found the DD gameplay was very fun that i already have 100+ battles in the 5 days i've been playing and and even if i find submarines a bit annoying as a DD main i still find a lot of fun playing the game, just got to tier 7 japanese destroyers and i found out the grind is real tho but being fair i already playing between tier 5 to 7 as DD

This game is basically a CV and sub simulator now.

It's more like a casino simulator, except you are in part playing with real money.

The closest thing to old wows is wows console, it’s very very nostalgic too wows 2016/2018

I like WT for Tanks and Planes better than WOT and WOA but I love WOW. It's the only game you can play for free and play your premiums without going broke in the game. Once you get to the top tiers in WT if you get on losing teams it starts eating up the silver lions quickly. WT doesn't give you free anything WOW does. I have received at least 6 premium ships for free in the last 3 months. Last one was the tier 6 carrier premium Independence. Before that GK tier 10 premium BB. I just wish they would make specific operations for subs that would allow subs to do what they were ment for. Attacking supply convoys not taking on war ships. Subs ran from combat ships to stay alive and attack covoys. Rarely did they play roles in actual sea battles except for spotting and a occasional torpedo attack and retreat. Then people could play them without pissing other players off. The game gets a thousand times better if you are playing in a division with teammates and communications. Playing with random players is always a hit or miss with no one really communicating and players of different skills levels. One last thing they should make Dockyard a little easier to build the ship it's kind of ridiculous to get through almost impossible missions to get to the last part of the ship build and have to spend as much doubloons as you would if you didn't build most of it.

Also, different servers = different gameplay metas. NA and EU is not yet as bad compared to SEA when it comes to CV infestation where DefAA is mandatory.

@@Katoshi_Takagumi Considering that that everyone's camping up back. And the Cruisers that can survive SEA are Cruisers with Radar, so DDs are pretty far in between games, so no point running Hydro. Might as well shoot down a few more planes and probably "deter" the CV better.

Sure you can play for free, but lets not fool ourselves the game is all about MTX. If you want to help new player out maybe you should make a video on how to navigate the game and get the best free play time out of it you can. Things like removing mods and changing commanders I think the default is still set to dubs. You do get some free dubs still I think when starting, kind of a bummer when later you realize that could of been better spent, and that's typical what good KZreadrs do, a walk through. Dang you really are a teacher, talk, talk, talk. 🤪

Haha lol I'm a returning player been away for about 2-3 yrs so much has changed lots of new ships to learn and subs where the hell did subs come from.

I still very much enjoy the game, but I get a little tired of the trolls in Randoms and particularly Ranked.

I play this game WOWS and for the most part like it. I have not liked War Thunder the times i have tried it including about two months ago.

Any Free to Play game always gets asked should i or should i not put a dime in this game. I was one of the them a types a long time ago.

Just came back, came watching this because theres a bunch of new stuff and no one explains it.. I was pissed with cvs reworks and the monetization and quit when subs came and Im glad they are not very common on high tiers so Ill try to get back into it but all those new ships and stuff is confusing me.. and btw I quit World of tanks for ship because of wheeled vehicles and 30 new currencies etc.. and this is going the same way so I guess i wont be back for long... and this time will be the final try. I always paid for premium and some conveniences but the way it is now even the mid paying customers are pushed away, this is a game for whales and thats all.

Been playing this game since it’s beta way back in 2015, submarines made me quit.

With fore knowledge of how Wargaming's attitude towards it's plaeyrbase and comunity contributors changed and how they've now adopted a full on mobile gaming monetization policy I wouldn't go anywhere near near the game. The actual original WoW's model was great and it attracted some like minded people with an interest in naval warfare without being so complicated as to scare away those who had little knowledge with combat at sea, now in 2023 the WG Devs have gone full on Batsh!t Crazy and would release a floating dog turd if they thought they could sell it whilst doing their best to silence criticism by any means possible. Do I still play? Yes! but I just don't compound my error by adding to the few thousand £$£$ I gave them before they turned into A-Holes

WOWS now has very little left of the core gameplay that made the game so unique. Force feeding subs into Random & Ranked matches has been a huge mistake.(CVs were bad enough!!) WG has chosen to ignore the players that took a chance on the game and helped get the game off the ground. As things are now spending a lot of money on WOWS doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense.

The biggest issue with CVs now vs then that makes them SOOOOO much worse is how you can't protect and screen against a CV, only thing that's gonna stop them is if you've got high RNG AA and even then some of the BS they can pull even in a full AA setup is stupid If CV players could cover the fleet like in the RTS days then CVs wouldn't be so toxic to play against But as is, CVs and subs play their own game and everyone else is at their mercy and just pray they're bad at the game because a good Sub/CV can't be countered except if you've got a VERY coordinated team and on a random MM game full of salty players who only care about their own kill/dmg score that's very unlikely everyone is out for themselves and that toxicity makes all the negative keyboard tossing stupid BS just even worse then normal

well, personally, i totally hate double cv or subs, they are very annoying when playing bb, it could drive someone crazy when attacked by both, hitting and sunking ships are so entertaining that i would say it's totally worth it

I wholly disagree with the take on the game getting better after t6. as someone who is still going through the german BB lines and cruiser line there has never been a more miserable experience than random battles t8/t9. t7 was still kinda fun cuz Gneisenau feels very unique compared to what comes before it in the line. and the BCs are all kinda the same. eversince reaching t8 I used every opportunity I had to not play randoms. ranked, brawls, special gamemodes and even operations is miles more fun than the suffering one experiences in randoms as a kinda average skill player

Learn the game, then get mad for rng and bad teammates, then discover that you play alone vs enemy + teammates.. then change the game
