World of Warships 2020 Hood vs Bismarck
Ойындар
Clash of the Tier 7 Hood against the Tier 8 Bismarck, partially assisted by Nagato and also under fire from two destroyers. I recently bought this ship and am still maximising it, so performance was less than it could have been with a fully skilled commander. Video cut to highlights.

*Time traveler accidentaly steps on stick*. The timeline:
Hood: *didnt explode* History: "Wait that's illegal"
This would have happened if Hood didnt mistake Prinz Eugen as Bismarck

Or if Prince of Wales had led Hood... or if KGV had been there instead of Wales... or if Hood had her refit. One in a million, we got unlucky.

@@waverleyjournalise5757 Hood was the larger ship. The larger ship typically leads a column. Wouldn't have made a difference, PoW was cursed from the start and promptly sunk after her repairs of this battle. Strange that she was once again paired with a big battlecruiser, Repulse. Forget KGV, if you want to consider rewriting history, put Warspite with Hood. She may not have been the newest, fastest, or packed the most firepower but, she was by far Britian's most badass battleship of WW2.

@@waverleyjournalise5757 PoW wouldn't have led Hood. Hood was flagship, the pride of the RN, and a much-more-experienced ship. PoW was so new she still had civilian workmen from Cammell Laird aboard. (Can't imagine what was going through their minds that morning.)

@@ijnfleetadmiral That's wasn't the reason Hood led the line. It was because Real Admiral Holland was on Board and the Admirals ship leads from the front. The Admiralty sent a message to Hood and Pow telling Pow to lead the line but they never revived it because they were on radio silence.

@@kairopalmer5109 I said in my reply Hood was flagship, hence, she was the one leading. PoW was way too new to be a flagship; usually ships undergo a training period before becoming flagship. Also, Holland was a VADM, not a RADM.
No Hood detonation? Why did I watch this....
Just an interesting fact from the battle. The first hit on Hood was from Prinz Eugen. First hit on PoW was from Prinz Eugen. Bismarck's 1st gunner wins the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. Seems to me the 1st gunner on Prinz Eugen was the better shot. Of course, he was throwing 8" shells at a slightly quicker rate.
Hey there, Will Jolliff. it's a surprisingly informative video. thanks. :)

@@waverleyjournalise5757 glücklicher Schuss? 😂 Eure Plastikschiffe waren für die Bismarck gar nichts... Euer Treffer an der Bismarck, dass war Glück!
Alternate ending:hood kill bismarck :)
The fact that a single shell couldn't obliterate a warship with a significant armor issue, breaching the magazines, is proof the game's armor mechanics aren't as real as they claim.

If you knew anything at all about the ages-old question of Hood vs Bismarck, you'd know how contrived your reasoning was. But don't bother, stick to your imagination and keep telling yourself that the Royal Navy wanted to throw Hood away in a fight she had no hope of winning from the very start.
Ha! After Bismarck sank Hood, she mauled Prince of Wales which was Britian's newest King George V class Battleship. That's the reality unlike this.

@@walterkronkitesleftshoe6684 True on Bismarck's part. Don't agree with Lutjens decision to release Prinz Eugen to raid alone. He should have taken both ships NNE back to Norway. I can only imagine what Bismarck and Tirpitz could have done in tandem. But, we'll never know.

@@darin271 After the Denmark Strait engagement, Lütjens was stunned by the realisation that the German's intelligence network had provided him with utterly NO idea of the location of the RN Home Fleet's heavy units (the last German reconnaisance of Scapa Flow had mistakenly reported the Home fleet's capital ships still at anchor, which they weren't). Heading back towards Norway would take him through more confined waters closer to the Home fleet's main anchorage at Scapa Flow, than if he maintained his course south into the empty vastness of the North Atlantic. Hindsight allows us access to information that the "fog of war" did not allow Lütjens... based on his limited knowledge and assumptions, the course he took probably did appear to offer the best chance of escape. As for Tirpitz and Bismarck, their only use together would have been the same as Tirpitz alone.... that is hiding in port to act as a "fleet in being", as a potential threat that the British could not easily sink but would have had to position a large part of their fleet to contain. The Royal Navy had FAR more resources to call upon at sea than the Germans, so any sortie by Kriegsmarine surface units would have been met with overwhelming force, something that happened EVERY time they put to sea.... the German's only ally was the vast emptiness of the world's oceans in which to hide in.... and that vast hiding place was being constantly shrunk by British radar technology after 1941. All the best.
Yeah , only that in real life the exact opposite happened .

This is not true, there is no real power gap between the ships you can buy and the ships you can play for free. Whether you win the game is determined by your skill alone; there is no way to buy a victory, buy better RNG or matchmaking etc. Also... It's just a game... If it affects you that badly I suggest you give it up
