Excellent compilation. Really brings back memories, and it's awesome that the race is still a thing to this day after 15+ years.

Thank you for getting into the OG video and updating it, It was one of my favourite WoW videos out there and it was a shame it was not updated. I thought about doing it myself, but i never did because i had/have no idea of video editing. You have done an amazing job with this update. Sometimes it's better to just leave with your good memories rather just saying for as long as possible and creating bad ones. I will remember this game forever as my best childhood and even adult memories!

Only see this now, you did an awesome job with the remaster! Unfortunately i lost access to my youtube account that has the original video on it D: You fixed all the errors i was too lazy to correct back then with the wrong encoding/scream timing in some places. The new slides you used also look super cool!

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug everytime i see old content it brings so many memories. Its a shame the way WoW has ended up but ill always love the game for what it was.

@@Dayspring2099 ppl like you who believe that pressing multiple buttons for dps or heal is better and more challenging are completely delusional lol. you press maybe 3 or 4 buttons in retail does it make you a better player? do you enjoy the game more because you press 3 buttons? i don't think that's how it works. + many ppl tend to forget that vanilla was also challenging, it's just that now we know every strats for every boss and it is quit simple but back then it was not (not to mention that the understanding and the overall quality of gameplay for each players increases over time). classic is indeed the best version of the game for the majority of players, simply because everything had a real value back then. So no, shadowlands was not better than vanilla in any way and retail in general will never be better than vanilla. everything in the game, race for world first included, will continue to lose quality because that's how a life of an mmo works

Well done good sir with this. cleaned up alot of the clips and some of the audio as well ex:Lich King kill (couldn't hear the npcs in previous vids). the little tidbits like archi 2.0 being only the 2nd boss to last past 2 resets. Impressed I am.

U can't rly get to hyjal in 2.0 because u needed to kill kt vash 25 times because they only dropped 1 vial don't think any guild pulled that off

Wow the progress time on those vanilla bosses haha, awesome.

As a raider during original Wrath, Ensidia's Algalon and Stars Yogg +0 will always be absolutely crazy to me. Those fights were absolutely mental. In Ensidias case, the dps they were doing was insane and they killed him exactly on the enrage timer. What a fight

damn the nostalgia, im getting goosebumps watching this. all the memories...

I've been playing wow clasic every day since launch. I still don't know what pog means, or why every dummy says "yeah brother". It's a curious social experiment, seeing which people jump on the bandwagon. I've begun asking people what pog means, and they usually don't know.

@@Stylerflo99 really though, *who does* , the game is utter dogshit now, SL is WOD 2.0 and looking at recent Blizzard events, it's all coming together now why the past 10 years of expansions has been trash. All WoW needs is a good expansion, which at this point feels unlikely to happen

To be honest im alot more impressed by Scos raiding career, its been so long Method has been around for so long and has gotten probably more world first kills than anyone now, they have also been in the top since like the beginning even if they didnt always get world first kills, so for my money Sco is number one, but Kungen has a more interesting personality thats for sure.

I am no Limit fan, but they desvered this kill.. Holy shit, the amound of hype in this vid. Also, congrats on Sire 1st etc.. We're all excited to see the world first race in the future!

It must have been epic to see for the first time thinking that in a real fight you would die, and you thought that the Lich King would turn you into his Pawn.

there was so much mystery behind azeroth and game mechanics back then. The culture could never be recreated

Missing Zul'Gurub (Vanilla), Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj (Vanilla), Onyxia Return (WotLK), Obsidian Sanctum (WotLK), The Ruby Sanctum (WotLK), and all PvP raids (Baradin Hold, Vault of Archavon) (not sure if they're counted or not)

They weren't actual raid tiers so no, they don't count. Besides nobody knows who got world first on which bosses back then except Ruby Sanctum which were ZG and AQ20 were just catchup raids for all the casuals and a means for more competitive guilds to try and gear people up, but theese raids didn't progress the lore or story or anything and didn't drop tier sets. Onyxia's Return was just to celebrate the 5 year anniversary of WoW, they did this with Ragnaros too in Warlords of Draenor to celebrate 10 years, difference is Molten Core didn't get forever changed to a level 100 instance, so they shouldn't count. Baradin Hold and Vault of Archavon were apart of world PvP zones and just dropped PvP stuff, and again, didn't progress the story or anything. So the world firsts on those didn't really matter at all.

Fun Fact: Nihilum never used voice com. Its crazy to me :D

Gruul's world first top dps sits at around 860 to 880 DPS [~8.2min] that is a mediocore log and more on the bottom side for now a days dps standards. Kungens 244DPS (if tracked correct) would be toped today if you just press Devastate and nothing else, this is how absurdly bad people played and were optimized back in the days.

That footage is definitely not the world first kill. It appears to be a post-nerf 2.0 15-man raid with 2 tank 5 heal 8 dps. Kungen is wearing T5 and 9th on the damage meter, total damage adds up close to 3.4m, you can see in chat they are laughing at 15 growths. Doesn't exactly make the DPS more impressive though...

There wasn't much forum about theorycraft.. There were no monster IDs in the logs. At that time we couldn't have warcraftlogs as was the case after with the 3.0. All we could do was watch recount after a wipe. It was during LK (with activision) that wow became competitive.

I love this...

The time in-between the clips is longer than the clips themselves. And the music isn't quite loud enough to qualify as ear rape, but almost. Turn it up a little more.

Gruul Progess: 19 Days ... because TBC was released 19 days before gruul went down on 03.02.2007 ...that is not progress on the mob, its progress leveling and building a guild, lol

By that logic, Ragnaros and Onyxia should get days reduced. Onyxia would roughly have taken like 2 to 3 ish days and Ragnaros like 100 - 110 ish The leveling and gearing up is definately apart of the progress and should be taken into account.

Being able to practice all the raids on every boss except the last one is the reason why we don't see Vanilla and TBC progress times anymore, the guilds already knows in beforehand what to do when the content actually goes live and becomes official. So the progress days spent on PTRs doesn't get taken into acount when the official race is on.

Think about this. From Pandaland Expansion to the end of BFA (4 Expansions-17 progression bosses), Method was World first in all but 6 bosses. 1 in Panda (Blood Legion on Shak), 1 in WoD (Paragons last gasp before they toned it down and have done 10 man mainly) on Imp Margok, 2 in Legion (Exosus flexed their muscles on em and got Xavius and Guldan on em) and 2 in BFA (Pieces on Unaat who opened the Door imo for Limit on Nzoth and they plowed through that opening). Its too bad that a certain dirtbag basically killed method or at least slowed them down (credit to Sco for carrying the torch now and before). Hats off to em.

They didn't split up, Method is still a guild and is still pushing, allthough they're not the best in the world anymore, I doubt they will ever get a world first again....they won't for a long time at least, if ever.

Paragon/Method and other top guilds lost because they were banned for 8 days during Dragon Soul. So there were not much of a race in that raid.
