279 early is in game, but this one is not

So good armor, good gun, and speed with great ground resistance. But the traverse speed was horrible. So this can be a semi auto sniper from mid range. Since the IS-7 gun is inaccurate from 300+ meters.

So, they created this tank to counter gold spammers

The 279 was builded. But the 279 (e) was just on blueprints or completely a fantasy Tank.

Demolisher you did hear what this video said about the armor right? It said that it was meant to be anti-HEAT and to resist almost all gun calibers of the time due to how heavily sloped it is. If they went with this design over the one in game then no one would pen this from the front or side of the hull plus that lower plate is heavily sloped back to a degree which looks almost impossible to pen

-Idea of this kind of sea-shell shaped cast armor was logical step in improvement of pike nose design.. -4 tracks were logical step in making sure that the tank doesn't bug down in swampy terrain (no, the logs wouldn't help 'cause there wouldn't be anyone crazy out there to go out and expose himself to 'post-apocalyptic' environment ) -Simple mods could make this tank also relatively maneuverable... for e.g. making outer set of tracks bigger and usable/designed like in normal 60t tanks and making the inner set powered only when extra traction is needed Too bad that the heavy tank designs stopped, and didn't continue afterwards, especially in this direction ! Conventional MBTs are so lame and over-simplistic imho...
