3:14 Kwango had never been to West Africa in his life..He was from Stoke Newington , his mother had worked in a German circus and he died in Nelson Mandela House tower block in Peckham.

Regardless of what these matches were proved to be, it was wonderful entertainment in the 60/70s Simple as ThatIt gave a lot of pleasure to a lot of people.No different to the American version on offer nowadays.

dw69ful- I would say the difference between this and the current American product, aka WWE...is that this is entertaining and looks like mat wrestling. WWE is just a stupid soap opera with acrobatics.

As a boy I lived on a holiday camp in Highcliffe, Dorset. ( was in Hampshire then). Johnny Kwango came for a holiday at the camp site. I remember he drove a pink Vauxhall.

Barnes was just a sad copy of the great Adrian Street, a sort of Woolworth's version

I don’t know. I liked Woolworths back in the day.
