As the world marked 2024's International Day of Happiness on Wednesday, The Agenda turned its attention to the importance of happiness at work.
Becuase it's not the fluffy topic you might presume.
Instead, the topic is one for hard-nosed capitalists, becuase it seems happy employees are more productive, more creative, more motivated - and more profitable.
Despite that case in favour though, study after study shows happiness levels at work are often very low, with 77% of workers globally sitting somewhere between disaffected and actively resentful, according to Gallup’s latest global study.
