Shanghai maglev train was opened year 2001, after 23 years operation there are wear & tear + aging equipments And the authority prioritise safety over speed so run this maglev train at cruising speed 300 kph (no more last time top speed 431 kph) OK Presently China is testing & developing its new generation of maglev trains speed 600 kph omg

Besides the aging, wear & tear & safety factor, it still do run at 430+ km/h but less frequent and only at peak hours, roughly 1-2 hrs/day, This is to save cost bcos at higher speed more energy is used hence higher energy cost. And if train at non-peak hours is has low ridership (as shown in this video), it's not cost effective to go full speed. This will also ensure the durability of the system if it's stressed less.

Bhai iski top speed 501km/hr hai aur most of the time iska oprating speed 431Km/h hai .lekin ye train 18years old bhi ho chuki hai isliye Aajkal ye 301ki speed se chala rhe hai .301ki speed se chalane se iski Opeation cost sasti ho jayegi .isliye aajkal inhone speed ghata di hai

When I visited in 2016, they were operating at 432 kmph only for a short duration. Rest of the day, it was operating at 300-320kmph. I experienced the shockwave when two trains pass each other at over 850kmph.

30 kms in 7 minutes. Wow. If such fast speed trains are available then major cities can relocate their airports much outside the city. I have heard that Bangalore's airport is some 50 kms away from the city and it takes about an hour or more to reach there.

@NHSRCL.Means it is still two and a half years way? And that is the day trail runs will start or the regular operations will start? And what will be the maximum and average speed of those trains? I hope average speed is more than 250kmph to call it a true high speed train.

Also there are semi high speed train like vande Bharat ; amrit bharat ; rajdhani..which is affordable for common person ...and these types of train are also used in developed country like Saudi ; many europian country ; turkey etc

When I was travelling there more than 10 year ago, the train travelled at top speed for every journey. But nowadays , only selected time slot it travels at top speed of 430km/h. So check for the time slot first.

@NHSRCL. I don't know why you are telling me about India when I'm talking about my own travel experience in China 10 yrs ago. I know about India HSR by Japan, I'm well-informed and I also know it's supposed to be completed even earlier than the Laos-China Railway and that Japan was late to deliver due to some local land acquisition issues as well as its own issues. So I don't need to check the news, that date is just tentative, since between now and then is still almost 3 years, anything can still happen. I will check on that when it's near. No pt talking about something when it's not even near completion. Plans can change or get delayed again.
