I live in Richmond-upon-Thames. Very near the top of the hill (a big one in London terms), there's a pub called 'The Lass of Richmond Hill'. I used to think that was an ideal name, especially because there was an old song with that title. I recently learned that the actual hill in question was in Richmond, North Yorkshire, and the song-writer's girlfriend happened to live there. When I pass the local pub, I'm tempted to shout, 'You've got the wrong Richmond!'

It is so under rated the Yorkshire Moors Mike. Tan Hill is great but extremely touristy now, the prices are crazy in the UK. I can’t believe the change in the ten months I was away.

Awesome Richy, can not compare to Thailand, different world's. The UK has so much beauty, glad you stopped to pay respect to those that gave there lives so we can have ours( least we forget, never). My best memory of the northeast is the market near to the bus station in feethams Darlington is the hot porkpie with mushy peas( that was 1978 mate, you was a baby back then). Another great vid. 👍 A couple of weeks ago we took our little convertible for a day tour, Richmond, Northallerton, Thirsk, Ripon, today we went to Settle. People moan but just don't get out & see, they don't realise that we are so lucky in the North.

Morning, Richy! Such a lovely place and the old building and cobblestone roads just look so amazing. Look at that river and walking bridge! Now that's lovely clean water 😊 I don't know that I have ever tried a scotch egg like that. Looks nice. ...and that countryside! Just amazing and all those little lambs 🐑 What do the UK locals think about your vlogging? I'm guessing they are quite used to this in Thailand, but what about at home?

Morning Greg, we do love going to the rural towns and villages there so beautiful. Scotch eggs are great, I’m spoiling myself with all the foods I can’t get in Thailand. People in the UK seem fine with the camera, I do get a lot of funny looks but I’m used to that🤣

Hi Mark and thanks mate. If your friend is there for only three weeks I’d say don’t try and travel to much of Thailand. Take it all in rather than travelling about, there’s always another time to see other places. Many people come here and think they can see everything in a few weeks, impossible and very stressful.

@@ParkinsonRaw yep its a worldwide trend since coming out of Covid. Stuff like a small value meal is more expensive than what a large value meal was pre Covid. I find myself declining the drink and drinking something at home. Also in grocery stores what they say is on sale is more expensive than the regular price pre Covid. I find myself just declining to buy some things..
