I'm 70 years old and I don't mind listening to you reminisce couple times you've done this and it's okay when your kids are going to leave You start thinking about the past and your childhood I did the same thing. But when my kids left I didn't have a KZread to express myself I just had to go through it by myself

I’ve been up & down those streets while visiting my dad when he lived in Lineville. Sure do miss the peacefulness and calm way of Alabama! My dad moved to Florida about 6 yrs now. We talk about Alabama a lot! Talked to you before about it an Heflin/pennies.

It's nice to know there is someone continues to be proud of the Anniston area. I've become jaded over the years for a variety of reasons I won't go into here. I graduated from Anniston High School in the mid 70's, was active in Parker Memorial Baptist Church and was a Girl Scout sponsored by 1st Presbyterian Church on Henry Rd. Anniston is very beautiful with a lot of great resources. John B. LaGarde doesn't have a museum. There's the Museum of Natural History and the Berman Museum is out there. John B. put a lot into the Anniston Museum of Natural History. I worked there for 5 years and loved it. Thanks for sharing your love for Calhoun County. Maybe one day I'll get back to the love of the area too.

I love riding thru the roads where Fort McClellan was. I try to think of how it used to be. Once in 1985 or 86. My friend and I met some soldiers during their MP training. We picked them up at their barracks and went to a dinner and a movie. Then we brought them back late.. lol. We got lost and found our headlights shining on a platoon of men in a huge field doing marching exercises. It was fun.

I can relate to your childhood wanderlust. I lived out in the country in Central Florida, and my friend and brother would get on our bikes and ride several miles to go into town. But our fun times was spent out in the woods, just exploring. We’d go down to Lake Apopka and watch the snakes, lots and lots of snakes, and see the occasional alligator, too. When my brother was in his teens he killed an alligator and cooked it. Yes, alligator does taste like chicken. I’m so glad I didn’t grow up in a town, give me the country anytime! It does seem the older we get, the more we look back with nostalgia on our childhoods. Love ya EA! ✌🏼❤️

Man, I gotta tell you, I feel much smarter and sharper after watching your videos like this. I have to laser focus on every word to keep up with all the direction changes you make! If I lived close to an abandoned military base like that, I'd be in trouble constantly for trespassing! Beautiful area you live in. Actually looks quite a bit like my area in Southern Ohio. Anyhow, thanks for sharing your life.❤

Thanks for the story time ride along, you're a great teller of stories. I had to pause you at around 29 mins to go off and be creative for a while. Hope you didn't mind waiting for me on that highway for a couple of hours.

I love the ride through Bains Gap. Nice little water fall in the area. I also hear there is a snake effigy a top one of those mountain ridges. Many interesting rock formations as well. Beautiful views & enjoy your videos.
