Why dont you remove the mold lines and bits of sprue before assembling? Kinda looks funky

Right?! The mold lines I can deal with but the bits from the sprue cmon get rid of those at least

Is there anything agrax earthshade cant do? Tempted to drink some to see if I become super human.

The gene-seed for space marines was actually a pot of Angrax Earthshade all along ;)

Would I use Mephiston red as a base coat for world eaters? Been using Khorne red since ever. Wanted to compare and get close to the new world eaters pics coming out

Mephiston red would be a better choice imo, but when it comes to painting hordes of bezerkers, fast and easy way to get them looking good is a white prime with flesh tearers red contrast over it. but for characters and big models, i would go with mephiston red

I always go for Khorne red. It’s KHORNE red. If you want a lighter colour in there then highlight with Mephiston red.

Khorne red should be renamed “wordbearers red” it’s more of a maroon than anything else. That said khorne red is a cooler red than Mephiston which is a hotter red.

@@michaelrossell5581it’s kind of going against the innate chemistry of the paints. Khorne red and Mephiston red are both base paints and by that nature (except in the cases of Balthasar gold and abaddon black) are more opaque where when highlighting the idea is to blend them in a gradient towards a lighter color. You absolutely can use Mephiston red, but it requires more skill, preparation and expedites than…grabbing a layer paint say.
