lol, whenever the olympics are on, I bring 3 small square hay bales into the living room, and put my saddle on it,adjust my stirrups,and attach my bridle to a pretend horse head thing I have ( its for practicing braiding the mane dont judge me) and I pretend I am jumping when the riders are. Eric lamaze is my hero!!

Man, Loved that. Teeth clenching, heart pounding and counting strides at the same time. Closest I will ever get to jumping a course like that. Amazing fun. Helmet cams rock! ❣️🍀

Wow! Brings back memories of my days of show jumping- this makes it look so much more scary though! Brilliant.

I can just feel the anticipation right before a jump again by watching this.

love how he takes him/her up to every fence beforehand too. Awesome job and a great thing for us amateurs to learn from.

that was awesome! you are a GREAT rider and your horse is too! i started jumping a couple years ago and almost died jumping so i don't ride anymore but i loved it, never got that high. haha im fine with just watching riders :p

I LOVE helmetcam!! Put this clip on fullscreen, turn UP the sound and LEAN forward in your seat, and RIDE that horse like YOU are on it yourself! You can FEEL the horse pause, adjust its stride and LEAP over each fence! Yes, i have had horses and done jumping, its GREAT!!

@rosycheeks44 im not saying they do this fancy of stuff, but horses do jump. it IS natural. they go over logs and fallen trees and little rivers and that sort of thing. no they might not go over shiny poles in the wild but yes, they DO jump. think before oyu speak. hope you had a happy new year. just be sure that this new year you are nicer than the last.

@rosycheeks44 Horses has these magic things called tendons, muscles, suspensory ligaments which help take away the impact of landing, it doesn't hurt you when you jump up and down for the same reason. It's due to the rider as well, if you have a good rider who gets the horse to jump steadily and cleanly, less likely to hurt themselves, obviously if the rider's terrible there's more chance of the horse getting hurt. But my horse adores jumping, he loves it, so some horses do like to jump!

That makes you feel spring and scope! Like do you get the sense that the horse's withers just got implanted into your stomach? Talk about riding right up to the base of the jump then lifting UP, UP, UP, and over. That's the impression here.

There's sunglasses now that have the lense right between your eyes, I've put a couple up on KZread somewhere. The Helmet cameras make the jumps look smaller, but the sunnies make them as shit scary to watch as they are to ride hahaha. It's just hit me now how fast these show jumpers actually have to go.. Hmm.. Need to pick up the pace w mine I think!! =D

Usually there is a strap like on a head light, but more secure :)

@huntin4lifexo Yah, I have 2 jumpers that are the same way, One of them, gets dancy feet, and hops around, getting excited just being in the ring with all of the jumps, because he knows whats about to happen, lol and my other one, he likes to jump and will do it, but cross country is really his game, he will walkinto the starting box on his hind legs just waiting for my command to go. I love it though!

So, did you knock any rails or did you go clear? I couldnt here the announcer over the loud applause, which you so richly deserve, even if you didnt win. You and Terrific are a great team!

@ls34409 I think your right. rosycheeks44 the rider or owner of the horse wouldn't enter if he knew that it wasn't right! My pony loves jumping!Its just one example. I understand why you don't like it, maybe its not your thing but it doesn't mean its bad!
