Agree , seen in slow motion the ball drop dramatically , i understand Felix's reaction in the heat of the game.

I'm sorry, @pingsunday but this video didn't help. We can't see the entirety of the ball movement, as the angle is bad, the speed of the video is too high (even at 0.25x) and the view from Lebrun's perspective is obstructed by the net-holder. To settle the dispute, we would need to see the original video from Ma Long's perspective. Using only the edited and published video isn't good enough to settle the question, as it is incomplete.

what controversy? Ma Long already said its up to you guys...and the ref watch the replay ,,...and they show us the replay too. lebrun still need more time to beat Ma Long

He is OUTSIDE of the table when the ball is hit. The ball need to bounce in a "upwards/CLEAR SIDEWAY" motion or it's not psyicaly possible for the ball to hit the "right" side of the table

It IS possible if the ball barely skims the table. Which is very difficult to say for sure here. A toss up.

@@daverbook Well nooo not when it comes from "outside". And the ruling is like that just becouse it's never suppose to be a question if it took the side or on top. So the ball needs to clearly "change angle" for it to count as edge when it comes from outside the table
