Vegas did not bid due to weather conditions during summer.. same situation as what happened for Qatar due to same situation.

So happy to have the World Cup at my home in boston

I can’t wait for my country to be hosting the World Cup! The only downside in my mind is the significant travel between games. The one good thing about the World Cup in Qatar was that all the stadiums were so close together it was very easy for fans to get to all of their teams games. The crowds might be significantly smaller, because not everyone will be able to afford the ginormous travel bills to get across this country.

Its great knowing that the stadiums used are not going to rot after one tournament. The fact the three host nations have world class stadiums that rank among the greatest stadiums in the world is so great, this could easily become the best WC ever.

Great video. My favorite venues: Los Angeles SoFI Stadium, Atlanta Mercedes Benz Stadium, Houston NRG Stadium, Monterrey Estadio BBVA, Dallas AT&T Stadium, Seattle Lumen Field and Vancouver BC Place. Qatar 2022 set the bar about organization, but I fell some records will fall. Organizers will find solutions to avoid long travels for teams and supporters.

Las Vegas was interested in the bid at first but when they find out thru FIFA that they had to do all these extras in order to host they backed down. Plus they also said June and July were already pretty busy season for them so they didn’t need the WC To name a requirement they had to make arrangements to have 2 sites where 20k fans could watch the games for free (fan fests). Given that Las Vegas is not that big you can imagine how that would be troublesome) plus they said their hotels were already booked so it didn’t make sense to overcrowd the city even more Minneapolis pulled out for pretty much similar reasons

The fans watching it for free is easy and can be done on the strip, I been at new years eve at Vegas a couple of times and man it get wild with the army dudes with tanks are around.

Even though you are rich to watch most of of the worldcup matches, the traveling distance and different places. I think the number of audiances from the playing team will be very less. The huge success of Qatar world cup was that the audiances were able to support their team in most of the matches .

most of the tickets for Qatar world cup were from Americans and Mexicans. Trust me, big games will be all sold out. But, since it's 48 teams world cup. Some games like Gambia vs Panama would obviously not get lot of fans

I hope these stadiums help promote the local MLS team(s) when the world cup is on to help promote football in the states and Canada. No need to help promote football in Mexico tho considering they're already football nuts there.

Won't be a problem in Seattle or Atlanta .... the NFL stadiums being used, are also the home stadiums for the MLS teams. (Both of which, btw, have had multiple sellouts and are MLS Champions)

@@AussieGunzel Red bulls have a huge following in NJ the problem is that many people cant take the train to the stadium without having to buy tickets to other transportation. People have been wanting the stadium in Hoboken because almost every line goes to Hoboken terminal and it has an amazing view of NYC due to its waterfront. Also Hoboken is a beautful small city in NJ and has constructions areas that could be filled in. Or even next to Metlife since there's a train station literally in Metlife near the entrance. Or at least Jersey city.

MetLife Stadium is uncovered not due to cost; rather, NY fans wanted a traditional NFL experience -- snow won't stop real men from playing and real fans from watching. (Despite being less traditional, SoFi in LA, AT&T in Dallas and MBenz in Atlanta are gorgeous.)

You're actually referring to Buffalo Bills fans concerning the traditional NFL experience in designing their new stadium. Metlife was privately financed between the Giants & Jets. Unfortunately New Jersey didn't want to pay for the roof & the reason for no roof.

US Stadiums is ON ANOTHER LEVEL...

The stadiums are really far from each other compared to previous worldcups (like for example, Qatar, Germany and South Africa). Luckily some of them are close to each other, which would be best for the group state matches.

The teams (and groups) will most likely play regionally so the travel won’t be bad for each fan base. Anyway they said that before the 95’ World Cup and was not as much of an issue as people thought.

The only stadium that trully deserves to host the final is the Aztec Stadium in Mexico City. It's one of the most legendary football stadiums in the world. It already hosted 2 worldcup finals where the greatests players of all time became champions. The King Pele won is last worldcup in 1970 and Maradona in 1986 both in the Aztec Stadium. I know this wont happen even if the Aztec Stadium is the only true foootball stadium there but I hope the opening ceremony and game is at least there!

The Azteca Stadium is going to be remodeled this year 2022 and it will have a new façade, seats, there will be many changes on the outside of the stadium, if it covers at least 90% of what FIFA asks for, the final will probably be held there , but unfortunately the organizers are the USA and not Canada and Mexico as many believe, so the purchasing power of this World Cup is for the USA.

It won't be. The deal was when the bid announced was that the remaining 8 games from the quarterfinals would be held in the United States. Quite honestly since the Azteca isn't hosting the final, Mexico should not even have been part of this bid.

The 2026 World Cup was going to be a US-hosted event. The only reason Mexico and Canada are hosting at all is because the USSF is a woke organization that, after Trump got elected President in 2016, either got deludedly nervous about losing the bid or seized on the opportunity to do what they considered to be some sort of display of virtue. But they'd never be interested in feeling so virtuous to lead them to gift the World Cup Finals championship match to Mexico.

The Azteca stadium will be remodeled and if it meets the requirements requested by FIFA at least 90%, it could be the stadium for the final or at least the stadium where the World Cup opening will take place, but I don't think the Yankees will allow this because it is their world cup and I don't think they want to lose their economy and go to Mexico for the final

There are a lot of impressive stadiums on this list. SoFi and AT&T deserve a visit if you have the time/money. But prioritize Lumen Field, especially if USA has a game there. Even if you're not a US fan. Seattle is easily the heart of soccer in America, and while it and Arrowhead go back and forth as far as the loudest crowd in the NFL, Seattle has far more passion for Association Football (their local club, the Sounders, put EPL attendence to shame a lot of the time).
