World Champion Squirrel Dog Hunt - Squirrel Hunting - APS Episode 28
In this episode of APS, we had the privilege of going on a squirrel hunt with 2 world champion squirrel hunting dogs. Their names are OBX Gold Tooth and 20/20 Slick. They definitely live up to their reputation for being champions!

I have a friend of mine that won several World Championships with 20/20 Hummer and a few other dogs.

I wonder where you buy those dog leashes at?
Why do they tie the dogs to the tree's when they tree a squirrel. I've never seen anyone do that.

They hunt their dogs in competitions. When they compete, the dog will score whenever they “tree”. The judges will not count it as a “tree” if the dog is running around in an area. The dog has to be on a set location. So they will leash them to the tree they alert on to train them to stay put when they “tree”.

Shooting through brush and tree limbs can definitely make it hard to place a good shot on a squirrel
