Always liked Kambundji, a cheerful person. Good to see her win, though aside from Jackson this wasn't an elite field, as she usually just misses out on top 3 placings against the very best.

Kambundji has definitely been in the weight room, during the pre-season. Up until about 2 years ago, she was almost too thin to be an elite sprinter.

She didn’t get through her drive phase or up right in form at any point. There is things she can improve & that means she can be more of a force over 60. Like her start alone knocks most off.

Haha. Yes her running style looks unusual. It just proves again that there is no correct sprinting mechanics. I think we can learn a lot from this run. A very aggresive body lean, no full extension, a very hip flexor dominat style similar to Justin Gatlin.

  • @dmvbay2535

@@Leonidas-eu9bb yep. Same thing they say about DeGrasse's running style. Never stopped him, especially later in the season. Also same thing with Abby Steiner's style. She just keeps getting faster and faster. You're correct. The "ideal sprinting mechanics" doesn't really exist.

My friends, I need you to watch this race again. Shericka Jackson doesn't look like she was putting in maximum effort. Maybe I am in denial, but it looks like she was playing Possum to me. I will reserve my critique, until after the world indoors.Call me cynical, but that race looks like she was running under instructions.
