Nothing wrong with training unconventional movement. A lot of very successful MMA guys grew up watching Kung Fu movies and enamored with Samurai warriors. It helps to be a little grounded too. The whole lomachenko thing is kinda wrong because really really loma should be fighting at 125, 130 is big for him 135 is insane, for a man of his size also, he has 2 bad shoulders, and I think he won that teofimo fight, wasn’t a robbery was a close fight but loma won every round past 6 and teofimo not wanting the rematch kinda speaks volumes, if teofimo had the skill of loma he could be a middle weight champion in hindsight, he has youth, size and power over loma, and I still think loma won that, nobody is skilled like loma, but at 135 he’s at a huge disadvantage, weight classes for a reason, if Floyd came into professional boxing at 29 like loma he’d only be a 2 weight world champion but he started young and dominated the smaller weight classes, grew out of them and carried on, he ended up at 147 which is big for him, he beat them with skill, but if loma started when Floyd started pro, he’d probably fight at minimium weight like pac, and be a 5 or 6 weight world champion. Pac is an 8 weight world champion which really shouldnt exist and probably never will again, The the era of boxing has changed, you’ll never see an 8 weight world champion again. I can’t even find a real world championship Ben woollis won, respect to him for stepping in and beefing but idk man world champion and champion are different, organizations mean everything, if your not fighting the best dudes in the world can you be a world champion, is he a lumpinee champ, a glory champ, a one champ, if not then man idk your not really a world champ cuz that’s where the best guys are.

Not so sure he's spot on with all comments. In the 80s we all trained with half kilo weights in our wraps. Controlled slow punches and throwing a punch. It had ALL of us have faster controlled punching. All this sports science bullsh#t these days can never take away the fact that all the old ways of teaching in the past worked. How many world class fighters trained in a way the new woke training BS now frown on??? The guy I trained kick boxing and shotokan in the 80s was a lecturer in sports science with black belts in several martial arts. Who trained more the people with thirty or forty years under their belts or all the wannabe couch warriors with an opinion here simply because they watch fights. Lad talking on the post excluded. You don't get fights without years of training , simples
