Sure but some of the MLD caught tuna is being traded with Thai FSC certification; cheating. Also, the rehi (baitfish) is having to be sourced in Lanka. It's nice that you're proud of your heritage but keep your eyes wide open for problematic issues.

This is the most sustainable way to fish, otherwise it would be a massive trawler or seine net that would literally get all of them in the area, including everything else in its way like dolphins etc. This method assures no by catch (species your not targeting or seals/dolphins etc.) and is super sustainable.

They are Maldivian fishermen, they use very little live baits to attract those skipjeck tunas. The tunas are about 4-6 kgs in wieght, and only experienced person can catch those tunas like that. it looks very easy but it's not !
