On my police pass out parade from the Scottish police in 1991, we did drill but nothing on this scale. We had two drill practices a week to present a 15 minute presentation. This was absolutely brilliant. Not as precise as military but just as impressive. Well done lads.

I have searched online for the best millitary men parades on African soil. None is close to the Kenyan style. Passout parades are well Choreographed the british way. uniformity and perfection the chinnese style and delivery the Kenyan way.

All the Officers were neatly turned out and kept in step when marching. Well done !

I just wish the kenyan police will treat people with respect hata kama wako kwa makosa... Sometimes you find mtu amefanya makosa kidogo na hata hakua aware of it and the person is so harassed as if he / she has murdered... So bad... Especially traffic police... But i know there are the good ones and God will continue blessing them. Let's remember we are all Kenyans, nobody is above the law and nobody loves breaking the law

Proud to see this as a veteran and best all round male recruit in 1996 detail 68-69 At the same ground. Pass out parade was presided by His excellency the late president Mzee Moi. Received Cane of honour.

I love this, to see something I actively participated in as a Stick-Man in the years gone by. Absolutely lovely! However, a piece of drill work, with the swords and pace sticks, by the Class Instructors and squad NCOs respectively, just before they perform the "Eyes Right" salutation at the dais, is missing. I can't see it both during slow and quick march-past. This incredible piece of drill is the toast of the March Past, in my view. The reverse act by the officers at the end of the Eyes Right is equally a joy to watch.

Remember some years ago when I was a recruit here at kiganjo

I can't believe that I've watched the entire video. I kept saying 'another five minutes, five more minutes....' and before I knew it, it was a whole two hours plus. Great event, great parade, very well organised and great video Ciff. This reminds me of my NYS days. We couldn't wait to pass by and salute Mzee Moi. How time flies!

These guys and girls would put even the British Guards Division to shame, especially with the Slow March.

Wow, how things have changed! Four Thousand recruits at the start, and only 31 dropped out or were terminated due to various reasons?? The class of Detail 57 Kiganjo segment, close to 600 recruits were mobilized in early November of 1988. Only 348 finished the course, one of the smallest contingents to ever come out of Kiganjo. I leave the judgement to your own imagination!

This compliment on the march is used to pay final compliments to the Reviewing Officer of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF).
