I literally smiled throughout this entire video. It's like watching an episode of American Pickers... The shear joy in Dazzles face when he discovers each new treasure is just so satisfying. That’s one of the most enjoyable episodes of all workshop Wednesday’s I’ve watched so far. The pure joy on Daryl’s face the entire time is just awesome!

Let's be honest those pieces will be of far more use in the museum than just sitting in a yard somewhere, and if donated, will be a fitting memorial to Jonno's dad who collected them.

Johnno you magnificent bastard! As a former Aussie Armour guy I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see original items being made available to the Museum for preservation Thanks Johnno and thanks to all from the Museum for saving these bits of Australian military history

Talking about finding a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! This is a gazillion times better! Congratz guys! Only thing needed now is to find funding for another addition to the museum and give it the name of this guys dad who got all the stuff. Mind boggling!!!!!!!

I served 35 years in the Royal Canadian Armoured Corp. I love the work you folks do in bring these old treasures back to life. This particular episode had me thinking, "Kid in a candy store" throughout. Great video again

Places like this still exist, but few remain , absolutely amazing, our forebares were the master's of recycling, lest we forget the men who served for Australia 🇦🇺, cheers from Adelaide.

That shy of relief of all the parts and bits that he would not have to make by hand is understanding. And that joy of finding so much is like a dream, now lets get to work!

Holy macaroni... an nearly intact Australian Army Grant, a Stuart, and all those other parts... I hope that company donates the whole lot to you guys!

Nothing wrong with paying good money for them, and I'm sure a very fair deal will be made. Ultimately just finding the stuff now is worth its weight in gold and there's bound to be things that can be sold on/swapped further down the road. The good part is that the current owner is prepared to let it go and be useful to someone else, a lot of "serious collectors" would rather just let stuff sit in their field/shed and watch it rot rather than let another collector buy it and do something with it. Good on Jono for being a decent bloke and having his head screwed on.

for the production value this channel really deserves a million subs.

This episode was like finding the Seven Cities of Gold! Holy cow! Everywhere you looked was a treasure just waiting to be freed. My hearts a palpitating like a steam engine at full speed. Thanks for making me remember what it was like searching through my grandfather's machine graveyard on the ranch. No tanks, but wonders to behold as a kid.

You would be amazed at how many captured and Australian built tanks and heavy vehicles made their way to Australia to be used on farms. A lot of our farming equipment was melted down to turn into weaponry, so after the war, our armed forces collected tonnes to bring back to work on farms.

What would we do without the old boys who loved and preserved our history. They are a dying breed. 😭 What a treasure trove of tank gems. I personally want to thank Jono and especially his dad for preserving these tanks.

Johno is a top bloke! Great episode, full of surprises.

So much excitement, so much gold. His father Robert was a customer of mine when I worked for Castrol, I remember all those tanks well, he would even start one and drive it round the yard now and again if you were lucky. Nice to see it is still there . PS, Seymour is the home of tiger snakes in VIC 🐍

I so happy that guy was willing to let the museum get all those tanks and parts to save them, get everything he is willing to part with.

That is the Australianest Australian thing I have seen since I came to Australia 27-years ago. You wouldn't see this anywhere else in the world. I love this channel and people like Johno & Daz.

I guessed there been another Grant, but didn't expect to see three! I'd like to see all three go to the museum for restoration (there's surely enough parts there) but regardless, Johnno's a real great bloke for helping you out. Shows that good blokes and barn finds still exist somewhere.

Hello. I must make an acknowledgement to John, I believe his name is, that realized the significance of his collection. It is truly amazing. It is wonderful that all those parts were saved! The fire control and gun laying bits are like gold, It was thrilling for me here in the US, it must have been a very special day for you all. The Twin Detroit Diesel 6-71 power pac is a great find. It is even more rare than the radial engine in front of it. It would be wonderful if it could be found out which tank it came out of, and restored to running condition. they have a truly unique sound, and I bet there is even more stuff in the weeds and barns, forgotten for years. The excitement comes through in spades! It looks like at least 2 possibly 3 restorible units plus many parts that possibly can help other museums complete theirs. It is so good to see historically important stuff saved instead of scrapped.

Holy smokes! You weren't kidding! So please tell us that the museum will be able to get all of those bits, parts, and vehicles - the would provide so many great restorations and additions to the collection

Daz in long trousers was shocking enough! Hearing Jono's amazing ability to identify so many obscure, randomly located chunks of rusted parts around the yard was impressive. Roll on the next episode!,

Hoosier here, what a freakin treasure trove. Your “no problem” attitude makes me feel right at home. Nothing better than a daunting task done with a smile and a ton of hard work and heavy equipment.

His excitement was contagious, it made me excited for him .what a place to be a kid growing up,heck Daryl was a kid again walking around there grinning like a school boy that stole a kiss from his first crush.

Man that shed was the gift that kept on giving…what a score 🤙🏽 I’m sure Jono’s dad would be proud knowing the tank parts he purchased are going into quality museum pieces 👍

Aladdin's cave is the understatement of the century... Wow what an amazing amount of cool stuff.

Daryl's constant smiling was terribly infectious. When he said his cheeks were hurting...so were mine!

Was getting just as excited as Dazza. Was in Pukka last in September 2006, wishing I had have known about this place in Seymour. Treasure Trove, delighted and amazed. I suspect you wouldn’t need a company issued jacket in Cairns, but sure need one south of the Murrey.

After watching all the hard work put in on the Grant for months, to see you two find such joy in essentially a "junkyard" of sorts is astonishing. The best part is the owner just leadung you around like puppies to show you all the treasures his father had the forethought to hang on to and not send to scrap.

I don't think I've heard anyone so excited and happy in a long time - A joy to watch and can't wait for part 2.

LOL, Daryl was like a kid in a candy shop, running from amazing find to amazing find. You could tell, John was so happy to find someone who appreciated all the history he and his Dad had preserved. I am sure there are other museums and collectors around the world looking at this footage and spotting some other piece (large or small) off to the side, not even commented on, which is the piece they have been looking for for years. It is so awesome that these armoured vehicles (and all the extra parts and bits and bobs) have been saved from the salvagers. Huge thanks to John and his family. I look forward to seeing Part 2. Great job Kurt on documenting the visit to the Treasure Cave!

This has to be my favourite of all the AAAM vids that Ive watched since the early days. It's unreal what's still out there. It's fantastic that what would been considered farm junk for a long time will now get a new life.

I'm really happy that you fellows found this stash of parts. It's great to know that even the smallest parts will be well looked after. It's an amazing place! I heard that it's completely funded by one eccentric rich guy who wanted to preserve military equipment and give his town a great museum.

Absolutely incredible. And what's really quite interesting is that Jono seems to know a hell of a lot about them as well.

Unbelievable! What a find! I honestly thought Daryl’s voice would give out at finding the grenade mesh😉! Good training for the laughing muscles as well!

I feel the excitement here in the Netherland, where it is summer and up to 24 degr today.

This brings back memories, my family logged and owned timber mills. I used to play on old army vehicles when they were parked on the weekends. Great video.

I watch your videos every week religiously. This episode is truly the best one yet for many reasons. Darrel looked like a kid on Christmas morning not being able to focus on one thing. All the years of collecting have preserved so much history piece by piece. Looking forward to next week and part two. Not that it applies but a bonus video showing what other bits of history are around his property. Fascinating and thank you both so much.
