Haven't used it yet but bought a backsaw blade from Axminster, hoping it will be good for letters and numbers

Hi Craig, I would like to say I really enjoy your videos. They are engaging, well-presented, with clear explanations and you don't assume that the viewer has a whole lot of knowledge of the subject matter (I don't!). So I find them really helpful and informative. I've been saving to buy the Axminster AC1950B so it was a nice bonus to see it in action and perform so well. Thank you for posting and please keep them coming!

Thanks for the firework display (5th Nov). I didn't know ceramic guides did that! =D

When you moved the guides down at 9:19, you didn't need to adjust the guides... On my bandsaw I probably would have had to adjust them because the guidepost doesn't seem to be parallel to the blade from the front to the back of the machine. Unfortunately I don't seem to have a way to adjust my guidepost on my machine (Jet JWBS-14SFX). I don't suppose you know of any other remedies for this (short of buying a better bandsaw)?

Hi Craig Great video very clearly presented. I am fairly new to woodwork but I recently brought on of your Axminster Craft AC2606B with the intention of cutting curves but have found this quite hard with the factory fitted blade. Can you please recommend the best blade size to use and is the 1/4 6 tpi available for this model?

Hi James, the following reply is from Craig - "Yes, the 1/4" x 6TPI is perfect for cutting curves on this bandsaw - www.axminstertools.com/axcaliber-ground-tooth-bandsaw-blade-2-606mm-102-3-4-x-6-3mm-6-tpi-105348"

Hi could you tell me if this machine will cut circles using the jig you made in another video please?

Hi Wal, the following reply is from Craig - "Yes it will, you just have to make the jig to suit the bandsaw that you would like to use. A 1/4" blade is best to cut circles with this jig." I hope that helps 😊

Do you adjust the guide ( wider ) to make thigh turn?

Hi there, the guides on the bandsaw are there to support the blade. If these are opened out away from the blade, this will not provide support on either side, allowing the blade to twist and move out of the cutting line. It is important that the guides support the blade. To do tight curves, a narrow width blade 6mm 1/4 will work best.
