My mom and myself did the same thing when the add a beed craze was all the rage in the mid 80s. You would purchase beeds and make your own customized jewelry. Only pushing that razor thin cord thru the beeds was one hazzle. I would put down a plastic grocery bag down on a table and drip a couple of drops of superglue on it and roll the end of cord in it. The end of the cord was stiffened enough to easily run through the beeds. Did you know you couldn’t glue a plastic grocery bag to itself. Just wrap some around your fingers and you’ll never glue your fingers to themselves. Did you know superglue was originally a surgical glue invented in the mid 50s?

A couple of points that I forgot about. After you dipped the cord into the super glue and got it nice and stiff was to cut the very end off at an angle. Made it really easy to push through the beads. Also when knotting the ends off so they couldn’t be pulled through the clasps on the ends put just as big of a knot as you could fit into the clasps so they couldn’t be pulled through. Pull the knot out and roll the knot In super glue and shove it back into the clasp as tightly as you could. You’re super gluing the knot to itself and the inside of the clasp. Hell would have to freeze over first before that clasp would ever come free.

You should do a video on fiberglass resin - the stuff they sell cheap for fixing holes in cars - if you mix it with sawdust, or metalfilings, or colourants or stone dust etc etc etc - it makes for a material that has 1001 uses when repairing stuff. It's like superglue, but you get loads so You can fix loads & fill big holes. Mix some with sawdust from the wood you want to repair - bang, you have the best wood-filler you ever came across - as an example.

Yeah it would work great. Bondo has many uses but not very cost-effective cuz it's not cheap. Just buy a freaking dowel rod and cut it down and fix wood with wood like normal people do. A 4-ft dowel rod costs like a dollar 🤷 I'm all for DIYs and quick fixes, but only when they're cost-effective. And Bondo and super glue are not cheap so I'll stick to my dowels 🤷

I liked the pipe repair by dropping in a piece of pipe inside of the opening. The only thing i would do differently would be to use the correct pvc cement on the inside and epoxy on the outside. This would be a good repair for cast iron . Cut a piece of plastic for inside and clean the inside of the iron pipe really well , sand paper and TSP . Then use plumbers epoxy to hold in place. Probably wouldn't work well on pressure but for drain pipe or a vent stack. I can think of a few other extras to add to it for a more permanent repair . Or even epoxy the plastic pipe to the outside with a couple of hose clamps around your repair. If you have the stuff laying around anyway .

О нет ремонтировать трубу для воды суперклеем бесполезно ! БЕСПОЛЕЗНО ! Сцперклей боится воды и все равно отслоится ! Что же до пропитки шнура суперклеем ... Ну надо было и я пробовал такое ... В общем крепко получается но ... Но на много слабее чем с эпоксидной смолой ! На много слабее ! Так что сильно надеяться на композит с суперклеем не стоит !

@@ThePrufessa some plastics (like LEGO one) can not be fixed by Superglue. And some environments (like water) are not friendly for that glue as well.

You can also use paper towels as reinforcement, like doing a fiber glass repair. Hogged out screw holes in wood, I prefer wood glue and matchsticks.

Я Оху.. Пардон, я обалдеваю, что этот клей "животворящий" делает!!! Чудеса!!! Он способен " Впихнуть невпихуемое"!!! Дальше- больше! Год назад я таким манером отремонтировал замок дверки стиральной машины, который просто рассыпался. Найти- купить новый не удалось. По " косточкам" собирал, как хирург. И СКЛЕИЛ!!! Держится- ВО!!! Теперь- ничего не боюсь!

A cut to length piece of whipper snipper / line trimmer cutting line is also good for filling holes that have become too big. I save the pieces remaining on the head when worn down. Hardware shops also sell plastic spaghetti.

Nada nuevo que otros no publicarán antes. Algunas opciones son caras como reparar el tubo, porque es más sensato usar un pegamento de PVC que cianocrilato, debido a qué el pegamento de PVC fusiona los materiales entré sí, lo qué no pasa con su solución. Si realmente fuera una opción se instalarian las tuberías con cianocrilato, pero no es así. Lo sustitución de los taquetes tampoco es una idea nueva, se venden los taquetes de fibra, ya un poco difíciles de conseguir, pero aun los venden, y se han descontinuado porqué no tienen un factor de anclaje bueno, terminan por ceder. Aquí las pruebas qué les hacé para justificar que sirven, realmente muestran qué son "mañosas", porque son son "caricias". Que sirve, pues sí... Pero qué sea una opción de uso preferente, no. Y lo digo por experiencia, en ningún casó son una solución de verdad. Esté material tiende a ser útil para unir, no es un material para rellenar. El éxito de usarlo con bicarbonato es debido a qué los espacios entré granos son minimos y contienen humedad, lo que cumple con las condiciones que hacen al cianocrilato eficiente. Pero hasta ahí. Normalmente quiénes lo hemos usado, vemos qué tiende a fallar cuándo se somete a esfuerzos mecánicos, porque su adherencia es química, tiende a granularse ante los esfuerzos. Lo que no pasa con adhesivos específicos como los epóxicos que adhieren acero, o los acrílicos qué pegan mármol, hasta el pegamento para madera es mas eficiente en las uniones. Los asiáticos han usado de forma abusiva al cianocrilato en la fabricación de muebles por su velocidad en la fijación, por desgracia la madera tiende a absorber humedad lo cual rompe al pasó del tiempo las uniones, terminando por separarse. Hay adhesivos con activadores qué sirven para fijar entre piezas los muebles, pero no se usan de forma exclusiva, siempre se aplican otros medios cómo tarugos, espigas, clavos o tornillos. Así qué es importante hacer ésas observaciones, porque por el mismo precio es posible usar otros pegamentos cómo el poliuretano qué no sólo pega, sinó que se expande rellenando. Pará prisas, vá bien el súper pegamento, para una solución de verdad, hay otras opciones, más eficientes, de comprobada calidad y qué soportan los "madrazos del usó diario"

Con lo fácil y económico que es tapar un orifico con un trozo de tubo de PVC de diámetro superior o pegar entre tubos con enlace adecuados de PVC y con su adecuado pegamento para PVC y hay quien se complica con chapuzas de pegamentos rápidos, aunque entiendo que seguramente hacer un video de reparaciones mas profesional no tendría la misma cantidad de suscriptores que es lo que en realidad se busca en estos videos, cantidad mas que calidad, esta mas que demostrado que los pegamentos rápidos al ser rígidos con el tiempo quiebran antes que los pegamentos flexibles, como lo es el usado para PVC

Флакон этого суперклея стоит 350 рублей,а хлыст трубы такого же диаметра длиной ЧЕТЫРЕ метра! -450 .Да,буквально вчера нашёл аналог такого клея,цена 115 р.!

Biggest difference is Superglue hardens in seconds and wood glue takes a day. Also, you can tack items together with a little Superglue and then add the Arm & Hammer baking soda and Superglue to strengthen.

I always keep a good supply of toothpicks in my workshop for just this reason. Slide them in the oversized hole, snap off at the surface, and there you go ...

Super glue also works as a finish on wood. Work in good ventilation! Use a lint free rag. Put glue on fag and rub all over as you would furniture wax. Hard durable finish. Use the slower to cure glue it works the best. Also use rubber gloves to protect skin.

One can also use cotton wohl in stead of rope plus the superglue

Кварцевым песком ремонтировать отверстие в дереве это конечно очень умно, от чего не забить мраморный чёпик в дерево, так ведь прочнее и проще, чем взять верёвку )))

Actually superglue is a cyanoacrylate. It means when its hardened, it became acrylic. Acrylic is hard, transparent, glassy plactic material and doesn't melt or soften in water boiling temperature. It may be more flexible I guess. It's more durable against heat than polypropilen or polyethylen that used pipes, plastic water bottle caps and many plastic home stuff.

Super glue find the cord of the cotton or nylon together. This creates a very tight bond that acts like plastic. You can also take super glue and mix it with cornstarch. It makes a great quick drying drywall patch, simply put the superglue on the wall throw some cornstarch on it on a piece of paper Doing that until it becomes solid then paint it normal ever know the difference
