My respect for you has grown a lot after this video. I'm a certified personal trainer as well so when I watched you for fashion or entertainment I was happy but some of the fitness stuff made me cringe. Admitting to it here was a big move and it reinforces to me that you genuinely care about the people and not just using the platform for money! A true honest youtuber

@@srdjagunjic That's not really a fair criticism. First, Alpha M admitted that he was wrong, without a lot of equivocation. Second, Alpha said that there's a free week and there are plans for everyone from a lot of fitness experts. He didn't just promote himself. Also, he never said that he wasn't trying to make money. Third, and maybe most importantly, he promotes Athlean X, in a very sincere way to his 5mm+ subscribers. Athlean X sells plans and supplements that directly compete with Bodybuilding.com and Alpha M. It's an honest video with a short plug, not a long commercial like you describe.

@@mysteryman595 There are some issues with Athlean-X too so I wouldn't say he's the best, at least if your goal is to get bigger and stronger. His physical therapy and injury prevention tips are on point though.

Noth alphaM not Jeff are talking about numbers, its mostly about looking good, feeling good, being healthy that's what MOST people go to gym for. Why are you arguing about numbers when nobody even talks about it? Obviously you do get stronger, but not at the expense of health or looks. I think Alpha even said something like "its not about numbers", now you go "BUT isnt everyone here lift for numbers!?" Stop saying "bro splits". Make a coherent argument. Jesse has achieved what he himself tried to achieve, he isn't an athlete nor tried to be. He was a skinny behind the scenes guy, now he is not a skinny guy, which was his goal. Most of his work for Athlean-x is behind the scenes duh, not just lifting some weights on camera.

Yea, you are talking about some bodybuilding crap. Form should be second nature if you aren't a complete nooby at the gym. Focus on progressive overload which is all about the weight and reps.

I watch ATHLEAN-X all the time and I’ve seen some amazing growth from him. Great video man, I absolutely love the honesty.

Its good to see that you have the humility to go back on your mistake and accept that you made one. Especially in a field where you are very knowledgeable at. I think credibility comes from not someone who never makes mistakes but someone who constantly accepts mistakes they have made and comes clean about it. Thanks for the video.

memes are my addiction ....chill buddy, people are still responsible for their own health and safety, a good workout program should always be multi-sourced. A whole lot more damage could have been done in the gym with bro-advice from an over-eager friend helping out a newbie. Aaron is openly trying to fix an issue that might have had consequences, and in fact I seem to recall him always saying before giving training advice to not do something if you had back, shoulder, knee issues, which any good trainer does.

We live in the real world, and in the real world, people are sheeple, under the influence of others and idols and the media. Alpha M is a role model, and wether you like it or not, he has some responsibility over his fans.
