My NH dealer contacted me, they have a product Improvement program that recommends you change the type of fluid due to the gelling issue. They give you 10 gallons of the new fluid and both filters FREE. If you take it to the dealer for service they give you the parts,& fluid, but you pay the labor. 11-9-2023. Thanks for the video!

Hey, great video. I have a couple of NH tractors, and this is the best video I can find anywhere on youtube on how to change the hydraulic fluid on these machines. I appreciated all the detail you included, that helps ... Thank you! Keep the machinery and hay videos coming. I'm in the (multi-year) process of starting a hay farm in the NE Missouri area, so this (and the other project videos and hay videos) are awesome.

Thanks for the info. I didn't want to drain the shaft pump if it wasn't part of the system. Just a heads up lowering the 3 point or loader makes no difference if the tractor is running the volume in the lines and cylinders is the same, you just want the cylinders as collapsed as possible to drain the most fluid.

Did a complete oil and filter change on my NH TC33D last summer. For all the filters about 6 and engine and hydraulic oil it was about $500. I have had this tractor for almost 3 years. I moved to PA from GA in Aug of 2020. This winter we had about a week of below freezing temps. My hydraulic oil froze. Had to wait for warmer weather for it to thaw. It's a hydrostatic so could not drive it.

Yeah I was surprised as well. When I bought my tractor it was an early model when they first came out. So maybe they have since updated the manual or I’m just over looking it completely. If you search the part# on the internet it is used on a variety of other machines like Powerstars and TN’s.

@@CenTexAg Just got my new wm75 2mo ago 2022 model. It still is not listed in manual to change the reverser filter . Also my original hyd fluid got so thick in the recent deep freez we had the fluid turned to vaseline ! had to put salamander heater on it to get it to thin out and get the tractor to work. When it was in the frozen state it would start and shut down .My dealer said they never heard of the problem and said i got water in the fluid and offered no help! .When i drained the original hyd fluid it was clear , the replacement newholland fluid i used was red in color .I also left the new fluid out side for a day in the -5 weather to make sure it was still liquid before using it. the dealer said the hyd filters were on national back order so your napa numbers were a help ,my local napa had them and i am up and running thanx.I should have looked at the MASSY you just got my self!

Pete I have a workmaster 75 and I live in the UP. I was one of the guys who had the hydraulic fluid get super thick that it wouldn’t pump and actually sent my tractor into shutdown. I ended up changing my fluid to shell rotella. So far it seems to be doing good. I run a 7ft snowblower and the tractor has no problem running it. The best thing to do is keep it stored indoors when not in use during the winter, that allows the block heater to heat more and more efficiently with out the wind pulling the heat away from it. I also put a magnetic block heater on the reservoir area of the hydraulic fluid near the drain. You can get them from tractor supply.
